Pattaya Car Rentals Yai Pakkamon Holbrook Cull Stole my house and sold it to loan shark - when employed to rent the property, Internet

I have to say I would never return to Thailand if it was not for the court battle of my life.  I am currently fighting to get my house back, that I purchased 3 years ago (as a pension). My problems started when I was robbed on Christmas Eve coming  from Church service at 10pm.  I was never out late usually and myself and my husband where 100m from our front security barriers to our estate, when the gunman struck.  I thought as we were so close to home and we were screaming for security to help.  BUT they just stood there.  After they stole my husbands wallet and my jewellery they left, leaving us shaken up. The security guard wouldnt even call the police, saying whats the point they have gone? We asked for the number of the police and he said he didnt have it.

Thats when you realise all is not as it seems, and it was pointed out to us he was probably in on it.  Well it cost him his job I was glad to say.  However after that we didnt fancy returning for some time so we employed and agent to rent our house out for 12 months.  She came recommended from neighbours who used her for car rental & taxis.  She was a widow and had lived in UK so spoke and could write good English.

Well the nightmare began when we gave her our company documents as she told us she would need them to pay our annual company taxes.  So we paid her the cash for the taxes and gardener and handed them over and the next day returned home.  

She then moved 4 Thai people in to our home, claiming they were tenants who never paid the rent so they moved out and she moved in.  Claiming she would rent our house whilst her new house was being built and pay a year in advance.  We were delighted as first until it took 4 months we finally got the rental from her.  Then only after a lawyers letter.  Never did suspect anything except she would not return our documents to our trusted Neighbour, found out the reason why.ONLY 2 days after we left she put herself on our company as a director and 10 days later sold our house to a loan shark for half of its value.  If we hadnt turned up after 12 months as planned the law will not let you get your property back.

We are now $15,000 down trying to fight a criminal case and a civil case in Pattaya, as the police wouldnt help us although the proof was overwhelming. We made 2 appointments and paid $200 bribes just to get to see an officer, but he wouldnt even take a statement from us. The land registry office took $1000 just to get the copy documents of the sale and to put a stop on a sale for 30 days.  They also asked for bribes just to do this, cash in an envelope.  Very disgusted with the corruption in Government Offices, who if had done their job correctly would have seen on my Visa I had left the country 2 days before and could have not signed the documents 2 days later. The signatures where not even close to mine.  She even managed to bribe the first solicitor I had (a Thai) who stopped taking my calls and missed 3 appointments after Yai had called in to see her.

If you take a case to court in Thailand you have to pay the court 10% of the value of the item just to get heard, so it has cost me thousands just to try to get justice. Meanwhile she bribes her way around with the money from my house.

I am disgusted with the corruption from top to bottom of this country and would advise anyone to look at going somewhere else. LAND OF SMILES, yeah they are smiling because they are ripping you off.
