On May 2nd around 5PM while driving down the Redhill near Queenston I was following a Pauls transport truck with multiple trailers.

A bolt came from the top of the truck or even could have been a loose part of the truck and hit my windshield, I snapped a couple pics of the truck to ensure i could verify later on. This was not a stone or something from the tire, it came from the roof or upper part of the truck. I understand that this kind of thing happens, I'm thankful I was not driving a motorcycle or things might have been very bad.

I took my car in to get the windshield repaired, it was very soon after so was able to be fixed with minor visibility, it cost $100 to fix. Nothing major, did not need to be replaced, but cost a bit of moeny and some time to go get done.

I called the trucking company and after verifying the lisence plate with them as well as the number on the transport truck they confirmed that it was indeed their truck, they gave me the number of the safety person that resolves issues Goldie Richmond - Ext. 121  Safety and Compliance    goldie@paulstransport.com  was who I was told to get in contact with, he even took down my information and said he would have her call me to see if theres anything they would do.

I didn't hear back so i called and got ahold of her and explained the situation that it again was a bolt, not a rock or some tire related thing that happened, but the only response I got was " Sorry, nothing we can do about that, it's just part of driving"

So I wouldn't say I'm ripped off...however i do feel that a company should accept reponsibility in some of these cases, something was not checked or there was something left on the roof of the truck. If it had of been a motorcycle that got hit with this we might be talking about a funeral and an extremem situation, I'm sure they would want to do something then. This could be an isolated incident and even offering to pay for the chip and say" sorry bout that" would have been enough for me.

Just looking for accountability is all, so I thought i would at least share this story and some of the photos and leave this here as a visual.
