I have live near your store in Simi Valley on Tapo Canyon and Alamo for almost 7 years. This is the worst run store on a consistent basis , I  have ever seen.

From poor product replacement, no common products and the constant shifting of the products in your store, to Mangers who harass fellow female workers.

Today 5/10/2015 at 6pm there was many people in this store , 5 lanes of checkers were open but no express lanes. The current manager said well there we mostly big quantities being checked out.

First of all, that was not the case, there was a sufficient number of people approximately 10 currently that had 1 to 3 items standing behind large orders. Second, you would not have that in any other store I have been in.

Also they keep moving the location of items, it seems, every 6 months. I see people constantly wandering around and complaining about this. Their own workers there don't know where everything is and worst of all there are a lot of retired elderly people that is a significant population of the store that can barely walk, forcing them to hunt for things.

I have made it a point as well as othes who live near this store to drive 2 miles to Trader Joes, because of the management of this store.

I don't know who they think you are fooling moving around their goods or what kinds of management policies they have, but this is the worst store I have ever been around in 50 years.

Agree! Worst Supermarket in This Town

AUTHOR: Pamela - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 12, 2015

I too, was a former consumer at the Pavillions on Tapo Cyn Rd in Simi Valley. When my elderly parents moved into the senior home next to this food store, I would take them there to shop once or twice weekly. After a few months, I soon realized that the store was poorly managed and no one really cared. Not only was I disappointed in the employees attitudes, but the managers themselves.

I found the produce to be simply inedible and the shelves poorly stocked. When I would inquire about a particular product they would tell me that they either didn't think they carried it or they didn't know if they carried it without ever bothering to help look for it. They would try to "guess" where it might be if they did carry it at all.

It's been quite some time since I've taken my parents there because we've now chosen to do our food marketing at other supermarkets in the area that are better stocked, have better produce and are better managed with happy helpful employees. Unfortunately, my parents still go there out of desperation on very rare ocassions for one or two items when I'm not available to take them elsewhere. They tell me it hasn't changed in all this time and it's still in dire need of new management.

It's a shame that the store is being so badly negleted when the elderly folks in the area could really use a great supermarket. Most of them don't have a choice and go there because it is walking distance convenient. They have no means of transportation nor do they have a son, daughter or friend to take them somewhere else to food shop.

Perhaps after the corporate offices get enough complaints some real changes will take place rapidly. Otherwise, I don't see this Pavillions surviving for much longer.

This is my last post on this, from now on there will be others that will file their complaints. But to anyone seeing this:

You be the judge, "Buyer Beware" you have been warned!

But you will see for yourself if you shop there. Just look at the outrageous prices, rivaling Whole Foods, the constant shuffel of mechandise, the bad attitude of the employees.

There is nothing else that I need to say becuse it will all be obvious.

You are not dealing in reality

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, May 11, 2015

First of all contray to what you believe, you are 100% incorrect in thinking that anyone that has posted so far is an employee, as it is based on false assumptions.

How do I know? Because no one else would have see my post for a while. The only one who would see are employees who work at the store because they see the email that ripoffrepot sends

First if you take a look at the top of this site you will see a series of links.  One of those links is "Latest Reports", which just like the name suggests will display the latest reports posted.   Oh and this may be a real jaw dropper for you, anyone can see these reports.

Next, you seem to over estimate this email feature.  As RoR MAY send an email to a corporate address, but they are not going to spam every employee in the company.  This is not even considering that probably 99% of the people that work in Pavillions don't even has a work address.  As very rarely does a retail store give an e-mail address to all but top management.  But you then say...but I just proved your point. Again, wrong..go back to my other statement.  RoR does not have some crystal ball that I am aware of(if you have PROOF otherwise please post) where they know every managers e-mail address..they may have one.

and then contact some friends of mine in the news media, get a list of the people and have them interview them who knew about the harassment and others who have problems shopping there.

- As much I would love to see this, I have a feeling that even your "friends" in the news media won't find it news worthy to cover a store that doesn't open express lanes and moves things around.  Although if they do please post the details where the public can see this.

No matter, all of your rebuttals will be sent to corporate so threy can see how you treat your customers.

- And don't be shocked if they respond that their answer is that they have no idea what you are talking about.

So instead of addressing the concerns you choose to rebut and not actually do something which proves my point exactly.

- What point?  That you know how a store "should" work by opening express lanes when you say and not moving items around?  Well okay...here is a suggestion for you.  Go to their site and instead of writing a complaint, post your resume and get them to hire you.  After all you know it all right.

You will see soon how many people hate this store. And both of you work at this store. How do I know? Because no one else would have see my post for a while. The only one who would see are employees who work at the store because they see the email that ripoffrepot sends. So you can't even take resposibilty for you own identity.

You heard it through the grapevine

“this is the worst store I have ever been around in 50 years”

Yet you keep going back.

“I know about a former manager harassing the female workers because I became friends with some of some former workers”

That’s known as hearsay. Former employees tend to tell tall tales.

“I know that because they all talk together in the retirement building”

That’s scuttlebutt.

“Also your store has a policy to not have express lanes open as a manner of routine… This was also told to me by your employees.”

That’s more hearsay.

“I have also filed a report to your higher management”

Based mostly on scuttlebutt and hearsay.

If you were to read other reports on this site you would quickly learn that both of the commenters you accused of working for the supermarket have been falsely accused of being employed by other businesses as well.

The store was busy on a Sunday evening and Pavilions has 34 locations in southern California so they must be doing something right.

These are employess put up to this

What is obvious is that the only people who know about this report, so soon, are employees because Ripoff report notifies the company that is complained about. So you are obviously an employee yourself.

So now here is the deal:

Once again, you choose to attack me personally rather than addressing the actual issues. Indicative of guilt.

Now I plan to contact other people who have problems with your store and file their own reports and then contact some friends of mine in the news media, get a list of the people and have them interview them who knew about the harassment and others who have problems shopping there.

So now we have a mountain out of a mole hill. Fine

You would accuse Robert of being either an employee or Manager - he is neither.  Once you make a report on this site you are open to rebuttals period.  Don't like it?? Don't make a report.

If you were unhappy with the amount of lanes open you had the option to just leave.  This is the retail business.  I enjoy the self checkout lanes but if I purchase many items I will just bid my time and stay in the regular lane.  Once again = retail business.  And NO I do not work for this company.

Rebuttal to your rebuttal

I don't know who you are, but since you are defending this place, you must work there.

So instead of addressing the concerns you choose to rebut and not actually do something which proves my point exactly.

As I mentioned I go to Trader Joes now because the market is so bad. The only reason I do go there now is because it is walking distance and sometimes I don't have a car.

I know about a former manager harassing the female workers because I became friends with some of some former workers who have since left because of how bad the conditions are.

As far as a busy body is concerned, this information was told to me without my inquisition and I also would see how this manager would treat these former employees.

As far as people complaining, I have seen many people complaining about the movement of items in the store. My mother who can barely get around needs to shop there as well as many other retired people that live near that store and have no choice but to shop there. I know that because they all talk together in the retirement building

Yes there were 5 lanes and no express lanes like in other stores and you are defending this? What should have happened is the express lane should have remained open and when no one else was in line, then you take bigger orders. that is the way to mange the flow of customers.

Also your store has a policy to not have express lanes open as a manner of routine at certain times a day and not accommodate the needs of the customers. This was also told to me by your employees.

SO what is obvious is this:

You are probably a manager so you must defend your store and your job, but instead of addressing the concerns you choose to argue. So anyone reading this, here is your proof of why this store is so bad.

I have also filed a report to your higher management and particularity now going to follow up and tell them that instead of dealing with problems you choose to ignore and argue.

Last but no least,

Why would someone choose to complain about this situation unless there is a real problem? I have a lot more important things to do than make up stuff. Also I was going to just file this report and that would be the end of it, but now that I see how you choose to handle this, I am going to dedicate some time to pursue this further with your company.

If this store is so bad..

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, May 10, 2015

If this store is so bad why do you keep going there?

You sound like nothing more than a busy-body who thinks they know it all and sticks their nose where it doesn't belong.  After all how else would you know about the managers who harrass female employees.  Well unless you are in fact not a consumer and actually work there.

Because apparently not everyone agrees with you...not even you.  As you stated you make it a point to drive the 2 miles instead of going to this store...yet you were at this story today.  Not only that but according to you there are people that come in day after day and notice when things got moved.  In fact when you went today you had 5 lanes open with a line long enough for you to complain about.  The grocery stores I frequent may have 2 or 3 lanes open.  That is with the exception of Trader Joes...they may have 5 or 6 but at least mine doesn't have a 10 items or less line and I am very often waiting behind someone with a bigger order.  If this store can have a line with 5 registers open, I would hate to see how busy it is if as you claim people didn't hate it so much and go to other stores.

By the way, I am sure that there are more than a Pavillions and Tader Joes in that 2 mile radius.  I bet there are at least 1 or two more stores you could frequent if this store is that bad.
