PayDay Advance Not just rip-offs, they're liars! Danville Virginia

We went there to cash our tax check as our tax prep person told us to do. It was one of those instant tax refund checks and the bank wanted to put a ten day hold on it. BB&T, that's another story but I'll stick to this one for now. PayDay Advance, L.L.P. had an agreement with Liberty Tax Service to cash these checks for a hefty fee, but it was better than a ten day hold! Unfortunately, my husband spent half the day there and we never got it cashed! The check was in both of our names and of course, I was scheduled to work 60 miles away.

So the only way to get it cashed was for me to leave work and rush home before they closed. So I cut my day short and headed home and my husband went to PayDay Advance to let them know and start the process until I could get there. He told them our situation and that I left work early and would be there by a certain time. They told my husband they were running low on cash and didn't know if I'd make it on time.

So he asked them since he had been there twice and it was so important we cash the check that day if they could put the money aside for our check (at this point, I was only 10 minutes away) They refused and kept taking customers and by the time I got there, they were out of money!

Knowing how important it was to us, and that I was so close and had lost time at work to make it there, they just snapped at my husband from the back office. tell him were out of money. It was very bad business, unprofessional and inconsiderate. I just hope Tonya Young (manager) needs something that badly one day and someone returns the favor so she knows how we felt that day.

The light at the end of our tunnle was WoodForest Bank in WalMart. They were great, they cashed our check for us and didn't charge us a fee because we decided to open an account with them. I will never use PayDay Advance, L.L.C. for anything ever again!
