Payless Car Rental Flomco Inc. Tampa Excessive and non-applicable charges Tampa Florida

We went through Priceline to acquire a rental car on our trip to Florida. As Payless rental car agency quoted a price of $17.12 per day we thought that would be a good day so we went for it. When we returned the vehicle we found we were charged for things that we not revealed when we picked up the vehicle.

The following is reflected in their statement:

Rate Charge               $136.96

Energy Recovery Fee  $3

Fl State Surcharge       $10.00

Transportation Facility Charge   $29.75 (they apparently charged us to use their schulle bus to their facility and back)

(we could use a cheaper taxi)

Vehicle License Fee   $4

Sales Tax   $13.99

Concession Rec Fee   $16.14 (what this fee was we do not know)

Then they charged $17.12 for 2 days and then uped the price to $34.24 for the other 3 days we rented their vehicle.

The grand total charge was then $213.84 but we expected to pay around $136.96 as originally quoted from Priceline.

Then to top it all off, we got charged for a toll road that we had already paid cash for. $17:34

We have also filed a complaint with Priceline but apparently they have been unable to do anything about this situation.

Never again will we do business with a company that cannot be up front with their charges.
