I would have given then 5 stars, but the billing practices are not only flawed, they are unethical.  You send them an email, it will cost you a 100bucks to read.  If they are explaining you the billing policy, they will include the time in your billing that they spent to explain.

And to add insult to the injury, they will charge you to explain why they billed you for something that they should not have.

That said, the lawyer/attorney I was assigned was top notch, totally on the ball and got me the best possible outcome, but here is the kicker...

The case was over, all dues were paid, I just got another bill for time frivolously marked spent on something that was already closed and settled.

I am not only going to fight this, but also going to expose their frivolous billing practices to as many a possible.  This is unreal.

 Please be forwarned.

Request an assessment

If you have a dispute over billing with a law firm you can request an "Assessment of costs". This is a hearing where all billings are reviewed. The lawfirm should have informed you of your right when you filed a complaint.

The kicker is that they have to take a lawyer away from billing a new victim 600 an hour to defend the money they over billed you. Depending on how big your account was it could cost them days of lost revenue as the court goes line by line. Go thru your bills and of you were ripped off request an assessment of costs .  If you bills are paid in full it is even better as it shows the judge you truly feel you were overcharged.

One of the worst things is when your 600 an hour lawyer brings a 300 an hour junior to carry his bag and his 175 an hour  assistant to carry the juniors bag.  You see these three at your side of the table and miss that its just a screw job. Also the trick of giving you 2 page reports to what should be a yes /no response.

Also check for billing for review of laws etc. They charge 600 an hour because they are supposed to know the law.
