Paypal ripoff - paypal allowed money to be deducted from our account without consent San Jose California

It has recently come to our attention that Paypal has authorized a charge from our bank account, using our bank card information, without our consent.

My husband sold a phone through his ebay account and the person who bought the phone either changed his mind or had another circumstance but it was a fair and legal sale and the account funds processed fine. We learned that the person has been able, using the paypal company, to reverse the charge, deduct it from OUR bank account (without our knowledge or consent) after the sale, after the merchandise has/had been delivered and now they have the phone - and OUR money.

This is fraudulent business practices and our bank has informed us that they cannot fix this issue without the assistance of Ebay and Paypal, related parallel companies. We are checking on this with various agencies (including the bbb and federal trade commission) but want to warn people that the use of paypal is NOT a good idea as they can access your bank account at random and your funds are never safe from fraud.
