I signed up online for a paypower card passed their verification and was sent my card, on their site it says "Get your refund faster" so I used the card to deposit my IRS refund Huge mistake...... It got deposited in a few days and when I went to use the card it was on hold. SO I call and after a 30 minute hold am told i have to wait for someone to call me because their the only company in the world who can't transfer.
I finally speak with a Daniel in risk management given # ITR616319, he gives me a fax number and wants my 1040, ID, SS card, and utility bill I fax it and hear nothing for 4 days. so I call again and got hung up on 3 times and was told once the hold takes 2 days to lift. I patiently wait 2 days and nothing. SO I call again and get hung up on 2 more times so I email firstname.lastname@example.org and get a generic message after writing back 2 more times I finally get told my documents were received but are "illegible" please refax or email them so I do both and still haven't received an email back.
So now I am stopping at this site for one last attempt I have letters ready for the Attorney General in both states, I will be going to the BBB and I have already contacted a lawyer to which if we file suit they will be responsible for my refund amount, interest, and attorney and filing fees not to mention the false advertisement of getting your refund faster which if i had it deposited into my bank or even a check mailed I would have had it over a week ago.
If they wanted all this documentation they should have asked for it when signing up for the card, I did however send it in to be accommodating but I will not waste one more phone call, have to take 45 minute breaks from work to call anymore, fax again or waste my time on emailing again. I am done with this company if my card is not unblocked by Friday April 27th (cause they are the only financial company in the world without weekend hours). I will have no option but to proceed on Monday.
Luckily I recorded all my conversations especially the ones stating it will be unblocked in 2 days, how they can't transfer me to the risk department and the ones that I was hung up on which show great customer service they have and have copies of everything I sent, emailed, responses and fax records.
Total scam company to make interest off peoples hard earned money like their fees aren't high enough.
