On August 29, 2014, Darrell Elliott of the PC Repair Network (www.pcrepairdallas.net) came to my house at my request to service a laptop with a broken keyboard. With my permission, Mr. Elliott took my computer and $85 as a deposit on the repair.

I haven’t seen my computer, my data, or my $85 since.

Of course, I contacted Mr. Elliott after about a week and a half to inquire about the status of my machine. He told me he would check on it and get back to me, but he never followed up. He then became unreachable…by phone, by text, by email, and through the postal service. He simply did not respond to any of my inquiries.

At this point, I filed a stolen property report with the Dallas Police. A detective managed to reach Mr. Elliott. He told the detective that the computer had been stolen from him. (Note that Mr. Elliott had not bothered to share this highly important information with me...so that I could, for example, take steps to protect my data, my online accounts, etc.)

Mr. Elliott committed to both the police and to me that he would resolve this matter with me within a week. When that week came with no action on his part, he told me he needed a five-day extension. I did not agree to the extension, but Mr. Elliott took it anyway. He allowed that extension to come and go, however, without communicating with me. I haven’t heard from him since.

So, roughly four months after I first engaged Mr. Elliott to fix my computer, I do not have my computer, my data, my $85, or any reason to believe that I will ever see any of them again.

You can read other complaints about Mr. Elliott online. Please learn from them, and from this one.

My family, too, was robbed by this company and man - let's work together to take them down

David,

Back in 2012 Darrell Elliott and his business "The PC Repair Network," who's business location appears to change cities every few months, took my mother's computer to "repair' it along with $120. They told her that it would be repaired in one week. A month later they asked for another $50 because there were more issues. By the time I found out about it and contacted him to have the money and computer returned he gave the run around that he didn't know where the computer was. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Fort Worth (now they're in Dallas apparently) and an arbitrator requested that they return the money and laptop and they agreed but a few weeks later they went right back to giving the run around. Two weeks later they completely disappeared of the planet. Two years later, in 2014, the BBB contacted me again and asked if I received the money and/or computer and I told them that I  didn't so they tried to contact the business but their phone lines were disconnected. It's a complete scam. I wish I would have filed a criminal theft charge but the statute of limitations has passed now BUT what I'd like to work with you and some others that I found had the same thing happen to them is file consumer fraud reports with the Texas Attorney General and the Consumer Financial Protection Burea.

Please contact me at jonathanlindavis@gmail.com. I hope to hear back from you soon.
