PCDI Ashworth College Scam; Cancellation and Collection under False Pretence or Fraudulent Practices Norcross Georgia

I am sorry to hear that you are having these problems, I assure you they are far from a scam. I have completed my associates with them and now on to my bachelors.

I am more then pleased with Ashworth, and how I have been taken care of. I have been so mad on more then one occasion just waiting to get my piece out of them and when I called got on the phone their entire demeaor made me rethink my attitude, because of how they were so nice!

I am sure that you have moved on but it not, call them and let them know what problems you have ensued. And see if you can e-mail it. Or what have you.

Reason, I say this I was on the phone with support regarding an issue I had and I came upon this. The gentleman and I discussed your comment and said sometimes things just get off to a rough start.

I love this college! IF it were not for this collge I would not have me degree. And I have been through several interviews here as of late due to unemployment and although they are not know like Yale or Harvard, many prospect employers where very impressed once I explained that what we do here at our college is much harder then a traditional classroom. But we do have more then ample amount of resources.

I am sorry, I do not agree as my experience is not the same. I have been very happy as a student and I am working on things I spent years avoiding and I am doing so well. They are accredited, the credits are transferable. Let's face it, if you plan to go ivy league you probably wouldn't be able to transfer but Ashworth is for people lacking in a history of scholastic success, a limited budget, and working adults who want to improve their skills. They are a stepping stone for those off us who dropped our education early, need to learn skills for a job or just want to enrich ourselves with additional education. The rest of you, shouldn't need Ashworth. Good luck no matter which one you are.   Remember, if you are on a budget and need a new pair of shoes you go to Walmart, not Macy's. (yes, that was a metaphor)

They are registered with the government for long distance education.

for the one lost the transcript.Did you ever think maybe Ashworth College didn't lose it but the postal service did.It is known to happen.Here is another tip,next time make copies.

I had to send them TWO high school transcripts because they LOST the first one.

They are a bunch of incompetents.

I finished the medical transcription course almost three years ago through PCDI, now Ashworth College, and was very happy with everything about the course. I never had ANY trouble with the school, materials, training, or finding a job when finished. I am now very happily working as a medical transcriptionist.

I am presently enrolled in the Medical Billing Courses of PCDI. So far no problems. My payments are on time and I have completed 9 lessons. 5 of which I have already received my marks for. I am doing very well so far. I am now waiting to get my marks for lessons 6-9 and the next set of books to continue on. I hope this harmony continues. I have such a different perspective on my life since I enrolled in this school.

One thing I can tell you is if you don't read the assignments, you can really goof up on the open book exam. I just happen to be very focused. Medical billing is not an easy course to study. Lots of information to remember. I am thinking about taking the Medical Transcription course also.

IF anyone knows of someone taking Medical billing or Medical Transcription please let me know.

Okay I have read all these rebuttals and comments and such. So now that I have found out facts about Ashworth I am a current student and yes to everyone the do need to work on there customer service I have been upset with them a few times but have always paid my bills on time and they have always answered my questions when i ask them. On the other side the are accredited with DETC you can find this out at www.chea.org if you want ot look for your self. I live in Austin Tx and because of them I cannot transfer to UT as a freshman or a transfer student. But if you look hard enough you can get accepted. I have recently got accepted into University of Phoenix not online but the campus and they will transfer all credits from this school. Ok so if your low on cash and you can't afford college go to Ashworth then transfer your credits to Phoenix University online or campus. That should take care of most of your BA degree. I am a student at the college. I am very satisfied with everything the school offers. Do they need to improve student services? Yes. The only problem I encountered with the school is my late exam. I don't doubt anything of the ex-employee, but maybe they've improved a lot since he/she left them. Could that be a possibility? I graduate in December 2004. I already transfered to my local university who accepted every single credit from Ashworth. That's 60 credits! So I guess your information on companies and "real" universities taking Ashworth credits as "worthless" is wrong. I made Ashworth my choice, I am very pleased, and I am succeeding.
