I paid this company the start-up fee of $98 to consolidate some payday loans I had out. Originally I was told was I just had to pay the monthly fee of $95 per month for (6) months and they would take care of the rest. I followed all their steps, I Closed my Bank Account> IT reopens sometimes if you have ACH debits (which is what these companies do).I Faxed back Authorization to Communicate Form, Alone with My Debtors which was only THREE. I continually called PDL Assistance to see where they were in contacting these companies. The first time, the woman stated that they were sending out letters to each Vendor to let them know that they would be the ones to contact from now on.  I contacted each payday loan company and gave them the phone # to PDL Assistance (as directed) and told them they would be handling my account from there on out. These companies said they would not contact anyone but myself (ME), and that I needed to tell (PDL Assistance) to call the loan companies. So I told PDL Support to call them. They said they would and never did. I called PDL Assistance for a status check, and the next person told me that I had to wait until 90 Days before they can do anything. I then send PDL Support and E-mail concerning the matter and stated that they would not get any more money from me until I received results. Well with that been said they send out another letter to the Vendors on my behalf and E-mail a copy of the letter with no letterhead or anything with their name on it just mines. They stated that it was a process while still taken my money. I said "Aren't you supposed to be consolidating the debt and setting up payment arrangements?" I never really got a full answer back. I told her I wanted the money I had paid them refunded since they hadn't done one thing to help me, and she said someone would contact me in two days, but I might not get a refund. We'll see what happens. I am still waiting for a call back or E-mail concerning this matter.  If I don't get a full refund, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and any other company I can.

Back in 2009 or 2010 the FTC made a regulation forbidding debt settlement companies of any type to charge any fees until the accounts were settled.  It also strictly limited the fees that could be charged.  One of the owners and the CEO Jared Irby was the former owner of PDL Assistance which shut down due to the new regulations.  He obviously thinks he is smarter than the FTC and calls the fees anything but debt settlement fees.  As a former high ranking member of management of his original company, I am well aware of the fact that this man and his company have a total disregard for the consumer.

He is all about just getting the money.  The truth of the matter is that if you will simply contact the payday lender and explain that you just can't keep making the payments, about 95% of them will work with you, and the laws of many states force them to work with you after making a certain amount of interest payments (usually 3).   If you have been ripped of by this company, please file a complaint with your state attorney general and the FTC.  

This loser does not care about BBB or ripoff report.  I suspect the "concernced" employee is a manager by the name of David Shettlesworth who spends countless hours trying to rebut such reports. At one time he was a moderator to some ripoff report sites.  I was once told by Jared Irby himself that he just wanted people to make the first three payments (meaning he would receive all fees) and then drop out so that the company would not have to service them.  

I am currently putting together a packet to send to the Alabama State Attorney General's Office in an attempt to shut them down once and for all. Please continue to post here on Ripoff Report as the more evidence I can put together, the better.  Jared has been an owner in several failed debt settlement companies: United Christian Financial, Fidelity Reserves, Action Financial, and PDL Assistance.  With this new company he will simply get as much money as he can, and then shut it down as he has done before leaving the consumer holding the bag.

learned of this complaint against our company. Out of tens of thousands
of clients we have very few complaints and an extremely high
satisfaction rate in assisting people in the payday loan trap they are
in. It is a vicious cycle that can cause a lot of fear and emotions. We
understand that and would welcome the opportunity to resolve any issues
you have (with our program or with the payday companies themselves)
along with anyone else enrolled in our program.  I am very troubled to
hear your allegations, but I can assure you that our program DOES work
and the majority of clients are extremely satisfied. Paying $1000's of
dollars in interest (often over 600% APR when mortgages are less than 4%
APR) is no way to live and our program will assist you if you are ready
and follow our recommendations.

If we have dropped the ball for you, please contact us directly so
that we can resolve the situation for you and make it right. We do not

and ask for a supervisor. We are here for you and will do anything in
our power to resolve any issues that clients have with our business.

I think you lie for the company

I have yet to get my loans paid off, so I was in the program before you were so how could you have had you loans pay already. I think you LIE for the Company. They Rip Me OFF I paid them at lease $3 or 4 Hundred Dollars already and my loans are not even pay. Stop LIEING for the Company.

 I got ripped off as well I paid 98.00 every two weeks an dwas told that the payments were to made to the venders that I was dealing with . iam still getting harrssing phone calls . I went to my bank and blocked the accounts I was told to block and nothing still has not been paid . These people are con artist . I hate that I gave up anything . The got 490.00 out of me when I could have paid my vendors watchout for these people they are good con artist. They tell you to look at the BBB and see that they are legit , legit my a** do,'t beelive them.

PDL is not GOOD at all. they don't do what they say, they call me and said the I should take the report off and they would honor my loan I pay them for. As fo March 5, 2013 No payment has been made beware of PDL they are a RIPOFF PAY DAY SUPPORT Don't support nobodyy but them self.

I have since spoke with a Rep. John who states that PDL Support Center will pay all three Loans back that I owe. They are will to pay my loans I owe, b/c I continue to contact them about this issue. I have also received a call from Fairfax County about the loans. I just forward them the phone number & told them that it would be taken care of ASAP. I will keep you update for the results in the matter. I am still praying (Jesus) Father God We All Need Help. Thanks PDL Support Center YOU ARE AWESOME!


12/19/2012 I received a call last week concerning this matter>stated that I was to removed my complaint in order for them to paid. They have already received 3 or 4payments from me so why should they pay. I will removed everything when it all said & done. Keep up you end of the DEAL & I will keep mines. I will contact the Better Business Bureau and any other company until this is over. I will continue to PRAY they will do what they SAY.

I had great results

To the person that did not get the results they were looking for I must stand up for the company that  saved my life.  I, just like you were stupid and got caught in the payday loan hell.  If you were so dumb to borrow money at 600 percent go get another job. Part time or anything that would get you out of the loans.  The customer service was great, they did contact my lenders, they did do what they said and with in 5 months I was done.  Great company . Thank you Payday Support Center.
