Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

A few days before my moving i made a bonding estimate agreement with Peace of Mind relocation for $2,750.00 On the day of moving i called the company they said the supervisor is on his way to you with the truck, he will deal with you when he see you, he pulled in with a pesky rented truck with 2 guys that only speak Spanish, The supervisor name was Sergio, he immediately told his 2 guys in Spanish to start loading my boxes in to the truck, as he was looking at my furniture he said my mattress have pillow tops case on it,

my washer and dryer has 2 drawers under it, he said my furniture will use more cubic feets to load, but his rented pesky 26 foot truck will barely fit all my furniture in it(he said) then he rasied the price an extra $550, I then refused because I had the same itames, he was offended and would not retun my 13 boxes in to my apartment, he asked his guys to drop my boxes in the parking, as I was dispatching the police to let them know, he, he punched me on my left shoulder and called me the p*ssy name,

when the cops showed up he told them I tried to stab him with a pencils to make it my fault in front of the cops, I have an incident report number on December 10th-2011 with the Upland Police department.  All the positive good reviews on here are by themselves, their friends and their families. Call the Texas Attorney General and ask about American Knights Movers is the same as Peace of Mind relocation (which is their old name I've read). they say they are not brokers who "hired/contractors" to pick up and move my stuff, but they do hirer contractors as movers .

Go to the BBB and search them and search American Knights movers, Its a Big Scam mover They are all the same people. It is a SCAM company. They quote you an AMAZING low price then charge you double or an extra $500 to $1,500 more, of course there excuse is being over the estimate, even though you didn't have anything extra from what you told them on the phone, they have many tactics to play games and play you, they dont want to send a home estimator when you ask them to avoid having a discrepancy when they show up, they REFUSE to weigh the truck to PROVE the extra cost they want to charge you. I have filed a complaint with the (((link redacted))) and a bad review with (((link redacted))) I have filed for a dispute with my credit card for the deposit of $550 they have not returned my $550 as of yet, but its still in the process.

FMCSA Initiates Proceeding to Suspend Operating Authority of California Commercial Motor Carrier Peace of Mind Relocation, Inc. Following Determination that Company Held Hostage Household Goods

WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has initiated a proceeding to suspend Peace of Mind Relocation, Inc.'s operating authority registration following an agency Final Order issued November 30, 2012 which determined that Peace of Mind Relocation, Inc. held hostage household goods of individual shippers in violation of federal statutes and regulations.FMCSA's final agency order determined that Peace of Mind Relocation, Inc.'s refusal to give up possession of the shippers' household goods constituted a knowing and willful failure to give up possession of the household goods in violation of its estimate and contract after the shippers tendered payment."Consumers should not have to fear the loss of their property at the hands of non-compliant household goods movers," said U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. "Companies that violate federal regulations and take advantage of consumers will be held accountable and they will face serious legal and financial consequences."FMCSA encourages consumers to file any complaints involving household goods or other commercial motor carriers through FMCSA's nationwide complaint hotline at 1-888-368-7238 (1-888-DOT-SAFT) and to visit the National Consumer Complaints Database at"Ensuring that consumers can access safe, reputable household goods movers is a priority," said FMCSA Administrator Anne S. Ferro. "We will continue to use every resource at our disposal to protect consumers."The agency also encourages consumers planning an interstate move to visit the federal government's "Protect Your Move" web site at, which provides information on shippers' rights and responsibilities and information on how to research USDOT registered household goods carriers.###

This company has an F rating with the BBB.  The problem is that they have cleverly registered their company in Houston Texas as well and have been given an A rating. When you google "peace of mind relocation BBB" the A rating in Houston comes up and the F rating in Santa Barbra is no where to be found.  The company is located in Los Angeles.  The following is the link to the F rating.

The A rating with Houston BBB link is as follows:

The owners of this company have also operated as Big Sam Transportation which has a C rating with the BBB.   The link is :

I would also just like to make this point.  How many of you go on the internet and write a good review for a company, especially a moving company.  Most people expect good service, and when you get it you don't feel the need to write reviews on the net.    It is only when you have a bad experience that most people are compelled to take the time to get on the internet and write a review, so that you can warn others, that they won't be screwed like you were.  That being said I would suggest that most good reviews written on the net are composed by the business themselves trying to counter the damage done by the bad reviews.  Take them with a grain of salt.  Just sayin......

Take advantage of the web and do your homework.
