PEHHS.Com Wes Anderson, Wesley Anderson, Frank Weston, Private Equity Headhunters Attempt to defraud via recruitment scam Carlsbad, CA Internet

I received an email from 'Wes Anderson' at PEHHS.Com: "We are looking for individuals who have a strong record of driving revenue growth, at least 2 years’ experience with a "turn around" and the ability to be mobile.  For the past 10 years, Executive Placement Solutions has specialized in searching for high end leaders for high end jobs to run Portfolio Companies that are funded by Private Equity and Venture Capital groups."

Sound good, right? That's my business - that's what I do - so it sounded plausible.  So I checked them out.  Turns out the web site of this '10 year' company was created 3/31 of this year.  It also turns out that the content is identical to the web site of PrivateEquityHeadhunters.com - created on 6/14/13. PrivateEquityHeadhunters.com's content is hidden - but their old content is archived at waybackmachine.

It also turns out 'Wes Anderson' COO of PEHHS.Com has EXACTLY the same background as 'Frank Weston' COO of Private Equity Headhunters.  And by exactly I mean word-for-word.  They did change the picture on Wes Anderson's very generic LinkedIn page though...

And there seem to be a ton of scam reports out there. The organization(s) apparently charge job seekers $3500 for 30 days of access to their network, promise interviews, and so forth. Then, after 30 days (and a fishy sounding interview) they hit up job seekers for another payment.

I want to make clear my experience with them didn't progress far enough to even return their email.  The above is simply 10 minutes of research.  But I've worked with private equity and VC's for years - and this isn't how they hire.
