PeopleFinders.com Didn't refund money, rude customer service Sacramento California

I used this service to assist me in a pending legal matter. It quickly proved to be unworthy of my time and money. I decided to cancel the service and get a refund

I closed the account per the website's instructions and received 2 emails. Both said I would be refunded $24.95 and only one of them said I would be charged the $2.95 trial 3 day membership. According to my online banking records, the $2.95 was charged, but the $24.95 was never returned. The emails said it would take 2-5 days to process a refund and a week later, it still hasn't happened.

Things escalated when i called their customer service. A rude female call handler ignored about half of what I said to her, trying to explain I couldn't get my money back despite the 2 emails saying differently and answered me in a condescending tone of voice a few times. When I attempted to tell her she didn't need to be rude, she hung up on me.

They also failed to respond by email both after my initial dissatisfaction with the serivce and the subsequent email regarding my customer service call. This is not an entity I recommend. They do not appear to care about anyone who either calls or emails them about any issue that arises.
