I am a blind disabled person who got ripped off by Peoples Credit First. They offered me a credit card with a 30 day refund if I wasn't satisfied. When I received the credit card they also sent a catalog and said I had a $5,000 credit limit, but I could only purchase from their catalog.

I am on limited income and this really hurt. I was trying to get a credit card to enable me to charge some of medications that are not covered by insurance.

To whom it may concern

I was made a victim of the Peoples Credit First,
this July 1st 2002. I had received a very convinceing phone call that had come from Florida, regarding a Visa offer 0% the 1st year and 7.9% after the year.

The gentleman was very convincing and I had also received a 3X5 card in the mail, with the same instructions to send with a check for 45.00 dollars. Which I thought was a very good deal to get $5000.00 credit card Platinum for the rate.

I don't don't give my credit card over the phone, but I would mail in a check for the credit card.
So, on July 4th 2002 I had mailed the check in for 45.00 dollors to Peoples Credit First and the check had been cashed July 16th, 2002, at Bank of America in the SF branch check #8557. Mail has been very slow in California, I had thought I should wait 1 month.

August, I started looking for Peoples Credit First and could not find the correct address to write a letter for a possible stolen credit card in the mail. Their wasn't another web sight that I could find Peoples Credit First address. To mail them my letter of compalaint. I had iamgined that thier was a mistake and the credit card was stolen. Now the month of November and I have a copy of my cashed check and find out it is a fraudalent company.

I would like to pursue further complaint and also recieve a check back for my $45.00 dollars. People in this country are not used too and are being taking advantage of by being innocent victims of these unlawful creditors.

Hard working individuals and families are being victimized, by fraud. We should have these companies fully investigated. This is a first time feeling of cruel experience of what this country is coming too!

I will be expecting a follow up reply of the investigation on how to stop these fraudulent companies and a refund.

Regards,
