Peoples Rebates Association Lie to get your money & run you around for a refund, ripoff! Champlain New York

This is exactly what I sent to the BBB.

I was originally contacted & told that I would receive a preapproved Visa card & a "benefits package". Was conacted again, by second party, to confirm ordering "benefits package"

On 13Jan05, I called to cancel package - informed too late to cancel (spoke to john Gun). When I recieved the package, inside were offers & rebates to various business & credit card APPLICATIONS. The letter included states, "Provided this is not exactly what was explained to you while placeing your order, you may cancel with a ten (10) business day period.

On 01Feb05, called for refund, as stated in their information (10 days of reciept). Was told that a refund request would be sent in, was told to keep the package until the refund was approved & was told to call back in 2 weeks.

Upon second contact (23Feb05), spoke to Don, was told that the refund was denied. Was informed that a second request for a refund would be put in & was told to call back again in 2 weeks.

On 07Mar05, called again(spoke to Mr Travis) & was informed that refuned as again denined. Insisted on speaking to supervisor, was then placed on the line with Kristin. I explained that situation to her about the original person selling a credit card with a $5000 limit.

She informed me that I had accepted a "benefits package" when they had called to confirm & that it was my responsibility to know what that meant. She also informed me that their agents would never "sell" a credit card since they were not a credit company. She stated that she would "try" again to have my money refunded even though their people had done nothing wrong.

On 21Jun05, I found the package again & called(spoke to Clark), I was again told that my refund was denied. I have tried, in good faith & in accordance to their policy, to get my money back & keep getting denied. Their sales practices are sneaky (bait & switch) & their refund policy is to not give refunds even if you follow their guidelines.
