Periodical & Publication Connection Kids-selling-magazines for sports scam ripoff Buford, Georgia

Tonight a teenaged boy came to the door saying he was 'Rachel's son, down the block with the black labrador' and asking me to support sending his baseball team to Hawaii for playoffs by buying magazines. I agreed, there is a Rachel and there are many black labs. As I made my selections I was struck that the shipping and handling costs were more than the magazine subscriptions.

Afterwards I was stunned to think about the conversation about cook books and gardening magazines, 'just like his mom'. He told me it was tax deductible and since this happens many times on my block with school kids, (even my own) I signed up for $150 worth of magazines. When he left, I looked closely at the receipt, and although it looks like the same order form I've used countless times before, there was a misspelling.

Then I googled Periodical & Publication Connection, Inc and I found you. I've called the Sheriff, filled out a case report, and will cancel the check in the morning. I'm just terribly embarrassed to be so taken in by a glib youngster.
