One day I was researching payday loans online, for the first time ever. I came across this website personalmoneystore.com, it looked very legit and actually very personable. I looked all over the site, read there lousy 'money-blog'. Everything seemed legit, and I thought i'd found the temporary solution to get me through till my next payday. So I did the application. Put down a lot of personal information, including *cringe* my social *cringe*, work information, phone numbers etc etc. I get to the end, hit submit, and waited for a response....

Then i'm suddenly redirected to a website where I can apply for a visa card. That's it, I have n idea if i'll be recieving a payday loan after entering all sorts of personal information. So I go to bed feeling very uneasy. The next day I call this number that they is there customer service. A recording played in loop saying "Please hold, our loan consultants are currently assisting other customers".

I waited a while then hung up. Tryed again, and finally got a body on the phone. It was lowly woman, who sounded about as enthusiastic about her job as the kid working the fryer at a mcdonalds. Who gave me a scripted response when I explained my situation, "that they basically couldnt find a lender for me at the time". So I asked her about the flood of emails I was recieving, all the various offers and such.

She suggested I respond to those emails, that they "might be the lender i'm looking for". I quickly asked her about deleting my info....She responded she had no access to the information, it was encrypted somewhere(in outerspace I assume?). She also claimed that when I did the application theres a place to opt-out so they can't sell your information. TRUST ME, theirs no place in the app to opt-out.

Clearly they make their money hawking your information to the highest bidders. Meanwhile you didn't get the loan you needed, and your personal information is now at risk. So fast forwarding. I've recieved HUNDREDS of spam emails. Numerous phone calls to my cell, text messages also. But on the plus side i'm glad my experience with this payday loan industry was short-lived.
