Pet Stop Sick Dog / Misrepresented Breed Rancho Cucamonga California

​I purchased a puppy at this shop at the beginning of January. When I went to purchase the puppy I told the owner we were looking for a hypo allergenic dog so it would cause the least problems for my grandson. They puppy I purchased was supposed to be a 3.5 month old Malti-Poo Terrier. He is totally cute. â€‹

I had him for 9 days when I took him for his first obedience training class. Our trainer noticed that his urine was unusually yellow (almost orange) and recommended that we get him checked. I took him to the vet and they treated him for a urine infection. Once that cleared up however his urine was still orange but bacteria free. He also had a very strong odor coming from his pores as well as his urine (no bath helped the body odor). The vet suggested changing his diet in case he had liver problems. We did and it did not help. The puppy also experienced a couple of seizures and rubbed its head a lot. The vet suspected a liver shunt problem but could not confirm the diagnosis without $400 worth of tests. I had already spent $300 on vet bills and I only paid $189 for the dog. As much as I loved the puppy I could not afford to spend more money in vet bills.

​I also had the puppy's DNA tested and it is not a Malti-Poo Terrier mix. In fact it is a Pointer Poodle Mixed Breed. The puppy that was not supposed to shed leaves fur and dander everywhere. Not only is my grandson suffering but I wound up with asthmatic bronchitis that will not go away.​

I tried to resolve the issue but the owner was not in. She never bothered to call me even though we left her my number. It seems that the only solution will be small claims court.
