PETCO petco will not back there employee's - the animals do not come first. Vallejo California

petco and its san diego,CA based corporate suck ! i am a PETCO employee, i love the work that i do but i hate the company and there ways. I work in grooming we have no air con in the salon. many of our customers are nervoiu and sometimes affraid to leave there senior pets in our grooming salon due the heat. many of our customers have called corporete to complain and they say they had knew nothing of this. our cage dry are has lots of black mold growing behind the kennels our washing machine drins into a closet and then spills out onto floor along with the drainage from our tubs.

PETCO has a really bad rat problem, we dump countless bags of dog and cat food in the dumpster due to the rat tear into the bags. in the grooming shop i work in we are pressured atleast 3-4 times per week to sale extra services ,this means an add on package $15, $19,or$20 added on to the regular groom price pets would get tooth brushing, better shampoo and a conditioner ect, ect. the problem is that at least 2 weeks out every month we don't have the supplies we need for these add on packages .

as of right now we have no conditioner, we are out of most of our special shampoo's( flea, oatmeal, milkbath, whitening, de-mat,cream rinse) we charge extra for all these products and we don,t even have them this is not good .we have no disinfectant 70% of the time ,we have no laundry soap 90% of the time. the broom that we sweep with every day the mop we mop with i paid for them out of my own pocket. i have paid for lots of laundry soap and pine sol as well as bleach. petco will not provide it most of the time but we need this stuff.

we work on commission and PETCO gets 50%. i don't think they should we come out of pocket far to often. we do it for our dogs not for petco but they take advantage of us.
write ups are given like crazy, we in grooming feel like targets for write ups but i can say its a store wide problem. i often wonder where they get off. there are so many problems managment wise and corparate wise its not funny our break room is f**kin nasty , tons of flies and nats, dishes, all over .

i could go on and on about petco and its problems. i don't know all the labor laws but i do know many laws have and continue to be broken. i wish there was some way for the animals to really come first and for petco to stand by its slogan.I love grooming dogs i really do its to bad this company is full of lies and bull.
