Pets Delivery Cargo free puppies / only pay delivery fee Aberdeen, Scotland United Kingdom

After seeing an ad on a local website advertising free Siberian Husky puppies, my husband and I thought it was too good to be true but we contacted the seller through the website link anyway just to be sure. We received prompt responses to our e-mails but they were very grammatically incorrect and had misspelled words throughout. The initial e-mail is as follows:

Thanks for the mail and the interested you have in adopting my little puppy,They are still available and love the companion of kids and other pets around the house.They are fast in making new friends and will make you a great companion,keep you company when ever you are
lonely.I will like to know the sex you are interested in.
-Have you ever had a puppy before?
-Are you going to take very good care of the puppy when with you?
-Are you married?
-We are you located?
-Do you have kids?
We are located in Aberdeen SCOTLAND and the reason why we are giving out the puppies is because,since the dead of my wife,the is no body to take very good care of the puppies again,so we decided to give them out to lovely homes/families The puppies will be coming with:
-Health certificate of 2years guarantee
-A crate
-With all his/her paper works
-Ukc/Ckc register
-Vet check
We are very sorry for all the questions,is just that we want the best for our puppy,if you are still interested in having the puppies and you are far away from us,we are going to deliver the puppy to you at your door steps and you will not have to pay any extra fee for the
delivery. Waiting to read or hear from any interested family or person.

We were at first leery about this for several reasons. First, as anyone who knows anything about dogs knows, NO ONE is going to give away a KC registered puppy with all the paperwork and everything... Secondly, the ads that were posted (three of them) were for three different locations in England and then it was stated in the e-mail that they were located in Scotland. Then there was the issue of cost of delivery. Free KC registered puppies, but a delivery fee? I thought maybe we misunderstood the ad so we e-mailed again and asked for ALL specific costs for the puppy. This was the reply:

You are welcome to our family once more again.We are very happy you are still interested in having the puppy.We hope you are going to take very good care of the puppy as you have said,but since we are far away
from you,we will be very happy to deliver the puppy to you at your door steps and that will cost you 150 Pounds including the delivery,payable directly to the delivery agency upfront.
We can not proceed with the delivery to you when we do have the following details from you.So i will like you to get back to me with
-Names in full
-House address
-Mobile number
-Land line number
-City
-Postal code.
As soon as i have the details from you,i will drive immediately to the delivery agency,and book a flight for the puppy to be deliver to you at your door steps,and they are going to give you a notifications by email and through phone when they will be doing the home delivery.
If that is okay by you and you are still interested in having the puppy,then get back to me with the details so the i can proceed with the registrations and delivery to you.

After this I thought, now they are wanting personal details. Yet, they had never posted their name. It was sounding more and more like a scam. At this point, we had an IM request from MarryJose86@yahoo.com (thanks Yahoo Beta!) and he/she wanted us to hurry up and send our address so he/she could notify the delivery company. I told 'him' that I didn't want to send that info, I thought it might be a scam. I refused to send personal info over the internet, especially to someone who refuses to even give a name. 'He' said that his name was Marry Jose and spent the next 20 minutes assuring me that it was not a scam. Since 'he' did not ask for bank details or more personal info than our address, I gave him our address under my name. I am an American living in the UK for less than six months (so basically I don't really exist here) so I figured if I use MY name, there was no way that it could be used for identity theft. Then we got an e-mail from the delivery company:

Pets Delivery Cargo. Safe Hands -Safe Journey

Since they wanted a money order sent to Cameroon, I knew it had to be a scam. I googled Pets Delivery Cargo and found so many scam reports about this company! And a lot of them are under different names. Apparently, the next step would be the delivery company saying there was no insurance for the puppy so another 200 would be needed, then another problem would arise. I suppose they would keep asking you to pay for stuff until you give up and threaten to report them but, from what I have seen so far, that is when they 'disappear' and you are out of whatever money you have paid since they definitely won't refund your money...

When I initially googled the MarryJose86@yahoo.com, all I came up with were ads for animals. I thought it was strange that someone would give away animals but there were no scam reports on them. We also clicked on the link on the website 'see other ads posted by this seller' and found at least ten other breeds of KC registered puppies being given away for "free." Also, there were several ads in the US and Canada so I know these people are scamming nationwide! I am so glad that I was able to find this website because all the reports I have found so far have been for the same scam with different "companies." I noticed that the e-mails were almost exact duplicates as the ones we received, which is why I posted them all on here. I am sorry for the people who actually sent money and lost out but I hope that others will find and read this before sending anything out!
