EDitor's Comment: Rip-off Report Investigation: Primerica gets a POSITIVE RATING in customer support from Rip-off Report and is fulfilling its commitment to provide excellent customer service. Primerica pledges to resolve complaints and address representative issues. For a long time this EDitor had concerns about Primerica because of the number of Reports about them. For many months Rip-off Report was looking into the company, even before they contacted us to resolve any issues and mostly misunderstandings being posted by competitors. With over 100,000 representatives and 6 million clients, Primerica is bound to be the subject of a certain number of complaints about improper agent conduct, as well as product and administrative complaints. Rip-Off's investigation found such complaints, but importantly also found that Primerica is committed to resolving such complaints quickly and doing everything possible to satisfy its clients. It also takes appropriate action against any of its representatives who are found to have conducted themselves improperly or unethically. We believe that the number of complaints against this company, whether through the Internet or other channels, is small when put into the context of its enormous size. Most big companies would never commit themselves like Primerica has. Read our investigative Report and Primerica's commitment to 100% consumer satisfaction. www.primerica.com provides products and services through independent representatives. Primerica www.primerica.com has more than 100,000 licensed representatives who serve more than 6 million clients in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Spain and the United Kingdom. Through a Financial Needs Analysis www.primericafna.com, the companys representatives provide a snapshot of a familys financial picture and suggest a strategy for financial security via Primericas products and services www.primericafinancialsolutions.com. ===Below is the original Report that was filed=== PFS - Citigroup fraudulant contact for employment opportunity ripoff business from hell Springfield Ohio I'd like to add my experience to the list as it is now in Charlotte, NC I have been looking for a new job as I am in an industry that is fading out to the overseas markets. So, naturally, I was pleased to get a voicemail stating that someone was interested in me for a position. My areas of expertise are FAR from financial, in fact, I'm in the design and merchandising fields. However, Charlotte is a very large financial district so it wasn't completely out of line that I might get a call. I called the gentleman back, his name is Steve Bates 704-717-3336 (cell) and left my return voice mail. He called me back almost immediately telling me that I possessed some very good customer service and managerial skills and asked if I would consider changing career paths to the financial side of things. He said that most of their managers ( they called them VP's) didn't have to have a lot of financial backgrounds as they would do more of the hiring, staffing, training, and some customer service issues. I asked where he got my resume and he said he got it off the "postings", for which I assumed Hotjobs.com or Monsterjobs.com. I still was puzzled and asked why of all the resumes, he picked mine and where he saw me fitting into the scheme of his "new start up" company in Charlotte? Still flattered and eager to find a new position, I agreed to set up an interview. He said he was booked until next week and could see me either during late afternoon or after work. I scheduled Tuesday the 22nd at 4:00. He asked me if I was familiar with the Mallard Creek/University area and I was. He gave me more directions and it just so happened to be around the corner from my Mother's office and I mentioned it to him. He wasn't all that impressed with that information but set the interview and hung up. I e-mailed my Mother and stated my surprise in why they had selected me for such a position when , being in the financial district, there was surely many more qualified people than I for that type of job. I was still excited and was going to go find out more....hey if they wanted me, why should I question if there are other more qualified people out there? I needed the job too. My Mother, who is very internet savvy, immediately pulled up these stories. She also checked the address and it wasn't anything she recognized. All too coincidental to me. I feel embarrassed that I thought, for about 5 minutes, that I was chosen for my skills ( not even listed on my resume by the way!). I would have gone on that interview. I wouldn't have paid the money, but would have wasted my time and added to my embarrassment. Please share this with others who may be looking for a job. And, always check out the validity of the company before doing anything. Thanks Mom! Patti Kannapolis, North Carolina

thank you Patti for the heads up. they just called me today to come in for an interview tomorrow night at 7 (weird because i've never been on an interview that late). like you, i am not going to waste my time because it seems like a scam, just like OTB management, a company i recently wasted my time going on two interviews with. so once again, thanks to you and your mom...

I have both had the pleasure of being a representative for Primerica and the administrative assistant to Steve Bates while he was in Ohio. And I might add that I have been a client for more than ten years.

The internet has a vast supply of information. The information provided is from many people from many backgrounds. I would dare say that if someone is looking to find negative information on just about any business, it would not be difficult.

As a representative for Primerica, I learned more than I could have ever imagined about providing financial security for myself and my family.

As the administrative assistant to Steve Bates, I can say he is an honorable man and has an honorable business. The only reason I am no longer his administrative assistant is because being a part of Primerica means reaching for your goals and dreams. His was to have a home and office in North Carolina and Primerica made that dream possible. To be quite honest it was the best "job" I've ever had. Since my job was no longer available, I was able to achieve my goal of being home with my children, partly because I couldn't imagine finding a job that could measure up to the one I had with his company.

As far as the opportunity you passed up, it might have been wise to spend at least a few minutes getting all the information before passing judgement. The fact that you didn't, actually shows that you probably did not possess the skills we was looking for after all.
