Phillips and Burns are NOT lawyers, they are illegal debt collectors where drugs and illegal debt collection are the norm. I used to work there and got sick of all the illegal stuff that goes on. Its time to warn the public about this operation and get the law involved.

This is the tax appraiser for Hillsborough County. He bought a 240k condo in 2005, then a MILLION DOLLAR HOME in 2006.

Brad Spoor and Ryan Kazmark identify themselves as attorneys on the phone. Joining them in this charade is Steve Slish (manager in Tampa) aka Gerald Mathews originally from Buffalo, now living in Tampa, and Glen Ingersol (not sure of spelling) and Adams Kazmark (manager in Buffalo) aka Adam Simms. Steve Slish is a telephone tough guy who is a coward in real life. He screams and threatens debtors on the phone constantly. One time he pissed someone off so bad in Tampa, they tried to kick in the door, Steve was cowering in the back, hiding in a corner. He resides at 9056 LAKE CHASE ISLAND WAY TAMPA, FL 33626-1942. Steve starts off every message with This message is for (person), this is Gerald Mathews calling from Phillips and Burns regarding a legal matter that has been filed in (applicable county) county. You need to contact me immediately at 813-889-9600 ext 105 to avoid any further legal action. He also uses the county employee alias of Tom Watson. He claims to be calling from so and so county in regards to a lawsuit/home lien they just received via fax from Phillips and Burns.

Glenn Ingersol screams and swears at people. Adam Kazmark loves to swear (s%#t, f*&k) at debtors. Adam called people and tells them he works for the legal advisor and a pre-legal claims advisor. Phillips and Burns at one point had an attorney working with them, but he left due to that fact he did not want to be associated with them. They have attorneys that will help them when they are getting sued, which happens quite frequently, but they do not have a legal department, nor will they sue debtors. The FDCPA strictly prohibits mentioning methods that you do not have the ability and the intent to pursue. They DO NOT have the intent to sue anyone. They claim to new employees that if came down to it they would sue the debtor and that is how they justify their mad methods.

Phillips & Burns, Buffalo office, opened around 04/04, Tampa office around 03/05. They are not licensed in every state, as required by law. They are not allowed to collect in two states, I believe Idaho and West Virginia, due to numerous complaints. If you look them up on the bbb.org you can find the physical address for both offices. They have been sued by debtors in Texas, Florida, and Minnesota, and there may be other Im not aware of.

I asked Brad once if he was worried about lawsuits, after he had paid several out of court settlements and he said I should just say screw it and let the judgments add up. Then when it gets really high, just change the name like Lenahan does. I was also told once by someone that all great collectors (ones that collect a lot of money) do one type or drug, if not weed, then coke.
