if your planning on going to phx engine or know someone who is read this,a couple years ago i was looking to get an engine built for my 66 lemans i was 18 at the time.I live right down the street from phoenix engines so i called them and talked to randy the owner,I told him i wanted a built 455,he informed me that they had just built one for someone else and it turned out great

He told me to come done and we would start the paperwork for an estimate, when we were done it was up to 4000 dollars i agreed to put 2000 down and pay the rest in payments "randy is a real salesman so watch out he will give you the american built story the last engine i bought was built in mexico and it runs great",this is money that i had been saving for over a year,he told me it would take around a month.one month later i was able to pay it off with some extra money i had

after that they stopped returning my phone call and e mails i had to go to the store and catch them there to get awnsers it took four months to complete the build,i installed it and broke it in"kinda"after 1200 miles it blew a head gasket once again no returned calls but i got them to replace it by going into the store"took a month and a half to fix",drove it home two days later another head gasket

All together 5 head gaskets the last time i took it in they pulled the engine went through the entire thing "they said" and "fixed it" but they called me to inform me that they didnt have a person to install it and that i would have to take care of getting the engine back in the car myself, well i did because all i wanted was to get this car running,i dreamed about this car,i gave phx engine all the money i had so i could have my dream car

i came up in a honest house with a low income this was a lot of money for me and the first time i could do something like this, saving money from an after school job,to think that someone could rip a kid off,i work in the automotive field now and take pride in what i do and just cant understand how someone could just let this go knowing that they built a inferier product

the last time i heard from them they said they would look at the files and see what they could do i never heard from them again i called i e mailed it makes me sick to look back and think about how much time and money i put into this and i have nothing but a 700 pound paper wieght THANKS PHOENIX ENGINES
RANDY YOU ARE A LIAR CHEAT AND A THIEF

Here at Phoenix Engine Rebuilders we strive to give excellent customer service. In our 40 years of business we have always put the customer first and foremost.

In regards to the situation with Matt Cruse the customer acted too fast and, by his own omission, admitted to filing the claim prematurely.

We have since worked through the misunderstanding with the customer and have reached a mutual agreement in regards to the matter. We now both consider the matter settled at this time and the customer is satisfied with the outcome.
