Hi my name in Nosa and normally a very happy individual. but when someone wastes my time i become aggravated and thats what i am right now. I highly believe phonenix managment and scentura creations is to blame. i first saw the ad in the starledger, IT states that they are looking for a receptionist/customer service no experience necessary. Being desperate i decided to apply. I was happy that i was given an appointment for an interview the same day and was accepted for a second interview. One thinq that worried me was the environment. They was playing loud music and wore casual clothing. Then i dismissed my feeling and told myself i was being too judgemental. During the first interview i meet Holly a supposed manager and she told me she was looking for a receptionist and she was also hiring for a branch manager because they was expanding. i told her i preferred to be a receptionist but she can also consider me for the management position as well.Cool i thought. The second interview was a group interview. A loud man name Donny was talking about the company and the mercedez he won while attending a company function. He promised once completion of the program we will sign a contract for $30,000. When asked about compensation while training he describe that we will discuss it monday which is orientation day. After Donny did his demonsstration comparing real calvin klein to the rendition version of that scent he than stated that he can only keep 8-9 people out of the 12 that was there. it was 13 people but she walked out. I was picked to come back for orientation. Before i left the office i wanted a better understanding on how i was being compensated during training i was near broke. I spoke to another gentleman supposedly a general manager and he brushed me off stating that he didnt know and that the way he was compensated when he first started was different than the way they do it know. So i decided to wait until Monday for the answers.Friday came and i was told to fax over some information so i can complete the hiring process being hard headed i again called and spoke to Donny about compensation. He said of course you will be paid but during training there is no weekly check and you will also have to earn your money. I asked do you have to sell perfume he said yes during the first couple of weeks. After i hung up the phone i started to get suspicious. Something told me to look up this company and when i did i was not happy. I wasted gas to go up to middlesex, i felt sorry for all those people in my class, and i was still unemployed. These son of a bitches are good. they prey on jobless people adults between the ages of 18-24 promising us our own office after 6-8weeks.

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Earley Gaynor, I went through training a year and a half ago in middlesex, new jersey. When I first started I answered the ad just like everyone else. But unlike the other people that I started with, I stuck with it and I finished the program. When I started I was in Job Corp, I was broke and I had no plan in life. I went from job to job to job until finally I answered the ad, Donnie did my first interview and he gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. When I started I had to do some sales (just like everyone else) but instead of quitting, I had to work harder. Long story short I finished the program in ten weeks (two weeks shorter than my goal). I now run a location of my own in Lanham, Maryland, which means I am a promotion of Donnie and Holly's. I now do the same job that they do, I signed up to be a manager and that is exactly what I am. I didn't get in this to do sales (which no one does). Donnie told me that I could make 30K my first year in the first interview. But in my business in its first year, I made $82,000. I feel like I scammed Donnie. People who blow out in their first or second week obviously didn't understand the business. They give anyone, no matter what race, color, gender, or age, the same opportunity they gave me. Free merchandise, free training, (the day you have to pay for something should be a red flag for you no matter what business) and they also give you the opportunity to move to any state with a business for free. Like I said I went through training in New Jersey and I got the freedom to move to Maryland. Any person with a brain can look at all these negative letters and see that people run offices all over the country. So ask yourself, how did they get there? They got promoted there obviously. Running your own business isn't going to happen overnight, it takes more time and dedication to be successful in this and in any business. Anyone who says this is a pyramid scam or that you dont get promoted doesn't know what THE
F*** your talking about. Everyone has the exact same equal opportunity. All it takes to complete training is working hard( for yourself), dedication, and a little blind faith, believing that Donnie and Holly will get you open. I am so confident that I am going to leave my phone number (NOT FOR BLOWOUTS) but for people who actually want some advice on how to run a successful business for Scentura. 240-380-6157 or 240-330-7566. I have alot of respect for Donnie and Holly because if I was in the position, I wouldn't even bother running an office I would retire. They are great people and unbelievable promoting owners. I am 21 years old, I am black and I make decent money. Thanks to Larry Hohn for giving me the opportunity. When an opportunity like this comes your way it isn't about what someone else did or does for you but what you do with the opportunity yourself. See you at the top.

#8 UPDATE Employee

a happy, satisfied, OWNER

AUTHOR: Sam - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 25, 2007

First of all let me start off by getting some facts straight with everyone. Scentura Creations is a manufacturer of redition fragrances, that's it!!! Scentura and world perfume are two different companies, and every single office is owned and operated by different people with different values and different goals. So before you post anything please make sure you know what you are talking about.
I know a lot about these companies because i worked and got trained out of Donny and Holly's office. I am still very confused about a lot of these postings, i was there and i know exactly what they say to people. Donny tells you in a 2nd interview that you will be selling perfume, that there is no paycheck, that training is hard, and that you will "earn dog s@#!", So if you didn't want to do it, why would you even accept the job. No one is forced to stay, in fact no one is forced to do anything, and if you don't want to, then it's that easy, don't. However please don't attack a person's integrity if it it just wasn't for you, THEY TELL YOU EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU START, and you can quit whenever you.

I chose not to quit, and everything donny and holly told me came true. I got my office, i drive a brand new Jaguar, and I am financially independent. But the best things i got from this company are not materialistic. Through going training i learned how to be outgoing, i learned how to talk to anyone, how to run an office, how to invest money, how to take responsibility for others, how to keep my head up no matter what, how to speak in public, how to manage money, how to have confidence, and so much more.

The business is simple, you go through training and you don't earn a paycheck, but they will pay for you to have your own business with merchandise for free on consignment. Total cost including merchandise, is in the tens of thousands, and you get it for free regardless of age, race, religion, sex, or credit. That's why i worked so hard, because I knew that was the end result. And i did get an office, and I do make money, whether you choose to believe it or not, that's the truth.

Donny and Holly never lied to me once, ever! And while not everyone is the company is as honest as they are, most of the owners are good hearted people, who work very hard, and do make a lot of money. So if you are applying, understand that it is hard as hell, but if you make it, it's so worth it, if you can't do it, no hard feelings, but please don't ruin an opportunity for a lot of other people. And if you were there for less than 6 to 8 weeks don't comment because you have no idea what you are talking about, so please keep your ignorance to yourself (lol). Otherwise, good luck to everyone!!!

About THESE Countless Job Scams

First thing you should do is look up the company on google for past history of reports.

I had an interview today with this "Phoenix Management" Scam Company INC.

I called and asked if I could speak to actor Donny. The female 'receptionist' answered and hesitated at first, then said he will be 'available' in 10 minutes.

In the end, I am not showing up because I rather not drive 30 minutes for this 'ASSISTANT MANAGER' position with no EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

It's just silly they cannot even tell you how much you'll be making over the phone to simply save time.

Scam scam scam.. I abhor you.

Total scam....I knew it was...I was just bored, had the day off and said Id go check it out.

For Rita in Long Branch, you have to be the stupidest person I have ever encountered. If the opportunity was so great, why did YOU end up jobless? Why cant YOU get back in?Where is YOUR office? Where is YOUR Mercedes?

And why do YOU promote a company that left YOU high and dry (you should be thankful that you are dry. Every time one of those uneducated little dirt-balls came around my way spraying that stuff it made my sinuese hurt)....

First of all the company is a scam because when u first get hired they tell u one thing but when pay day comes around its a different story. If u like this company so much, why dont u apply for the one thats located in middlesex Miss Longbranch? I guarantee you wouldnt work there no more because u know that they are full of s**t. You are also full of s*it if you think ima sit here and believe you had your own office. The whole time i been on this site, i never read any rebuttal from an actual manager only smart people like me who left. All im saying Rita is before u come here and talk u need to take a quick look at yourself in the mirror.

GUESS WHAT. I just left this scam-hole today.. thank GOD today was only my 1st day. I still waisted time, a few measly bucks.. but I'm okay with that. I think everything is a learning process. Please check out my Report.

These f*ckers have a another "distribution" center in Queen, NY (Middle Village). And guess what, EVERYBODY in the office (all the managers) constantly mention this Holly & Donnie pair. So sad... they thrown in that Mercedes pitch to motivate young, educated, innocent people who are undeserving of this level of deceit. It disgusts me so much.... take care Nosa..
