I was searching for a rebuilt transmission for a 1999 ML430 Mercedes SUV and came across this company selling on EBAY. I ordered a transmission and once delivered, had the shipping company take next door to our mechanic who was to install it.
I immediately shipped back our core for the credit of 1,000.00 we were to receive back.

Our mechanic installed the transmission and could not get it to adapt. He got slippage codes. I called Phoenix and spoke to VJ and asked him to call our mechanic to determine what was wrong with the transmission. After some checking, it was discovered that the casing that was used, was the casing for a ML320 mercedes. VJ left a message for me to send back the wrong transmission! I had just spent 900.00+ to have this wrong transmission installed. Needless to say I was upset. I called VJ and he said would have to talk to Matt, the Manager from now on.

I called Matt and he told me to ship back the transmission and they would open it up to determine if it was wrong. Well, by now I did not trust these people and refused to send it back. I spoke to the owner Frank K. and he said if it was determined to be wrong, he would pay for my labor. I had the car towed to a transmission shop here in Georgia and they determined that the casing was for an ML320 but the internals were built for a 320 Mercedes Sedan. It would not work in our vehicle.

I asked Phoenix Transmissions to replace the transmission at no charge and refund me the labor to install the incorrect one at 902.00 the towing charge of 100.00 and the labor of 255.00 to have it inspected as well as my core deposit I have never received. Even after the owner Frank told me they would pay my labor if they were wrong, they only offered to refund 350.00 back and replace the transmission. This is still not resolved. Beware of these people. They are incapable, inept, inexpert, unfit, unqualified, unskilled, ineffective, ineffectual, inefficient; callow, green, inexperienced, raw; unequipped, unprepared, untrained; useless and worthless. I am still out 4,512.75 and have a useless transmission.
