Photo Dynasty Thanks for warning of bait and switch Internet

I appreciate the ripoff warnings for Photodynasty.com. I purchased a Canon Model VIXA HV 30 Mini DV HD camcorder from this company on July 24, 2008 for a listed price of $789. This was the advanced package which included a number of accessories including a camera bag, tripod, filters, an extra battery, etc. I wished that I had checked your site before placing my order.

Fortunately, I did a google search later that evening and checked your site. Several reports noted that this company practiced bait and switch tactics. I did not cancel my order immediately but was forewarned when a sales representative called on 7/28/08. He asked me if I was aware that the filters included in the camcorder accessories were plastic and suggested that I might want to upgrade to glass ones before shipping the order.

I told him "no" and then he proceeded to let me know the final price of the order was almost $100 over the internet listed price. When I questioned the extra charge, he told me it included "insurance". I informed him that I was aware of his company's poor reputation and promptly canceled my order. I wanted to thank all the victims which filed complaints on this company.
