 In March 24 of 2015, I agreed to start a weight loss program with Physicians Weight Loss Center located at 5761 SW 40th street. Miami, FL 33155. I was assured by the staff and the Dr, who I got to see 2 or 3 weeks after I started the program, that I was going to loose 20 pounds in 10 weeks. I paid a whooping amount of money as first payment, $672.00 to be exact, for all the Physician's consultations and health related costs, plus 4 weeks of pre-paid nutritional supplements @ $60.00 per week. Plus, they recommended that I take a loan of $1,000. 00 through Carmel Financial to cover for the rest of the cost of the food allegedly stating that I didn't need to use the whole amount and that I was going to pay only for the amount of the loan used to get the supplement food. That if I didn't spent the whole amount of the loan, it was not going to be charged to me. They sent me to the lab for some basic lab work that included a BMP and CBC with differential. So I started the program with very good expectations. After about 2 1/2 months into the program, one day I became very ill with symptoms of abdominal cramps and diarrhea. At the time, I thought I had food poisoning and did not paid much attention to the matter.

However, as days passed, my health condition worsened. Although I stopped for few days the intake of the supplements at the beginning of the crisis, I continued to do the diet and visit the Center for my weekly check up, weight taking and a lipo injection I was receiving. I continued to deteriorate in my health to the point of having to go to a GI doctor. I had to stop all together the diet and follow my gastroenterologist recommendations. The diagnosis was not food poisoning as I thought, it was an apparent exacerbation of IBS, or, Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I immediately whent to report my health condition to the Center manager and requested that I could be allowed to cancel my contract with them due to health issues. I was given the run around treatment and was denied the option to cancel.

I spoke to the Dr in charge of that particular clinic and he also refused to let me off the hook. I had a letter from a GI doctor explaining my health situation wich I gave them personally and again, I was denied the opportunity to cancel my program. My health ordeal continued for more than a year!!! During all that time, I contacted personally and by phone different people at Physicians Weight Loss Center with the same results. I spent more than $1,000.00 between the cost of the program plus the payments I made to Carmel Financial for the food and supplements I used in that period of 2 1/2 months. Now I'm in collections because after all my best efforts, I refused to pay another penny to this people. Worst of all, I was never reimbursed for not even a penny of all the money spent. Now, my credit score is affected and I can't apply for any credit card because of these crooks. I need help!!!
