Pier Master Foundation Repair , JR King, Robbie King J R King received $ 5800 for Foundation Repair and Fails To Honor Warranty Since Nov 2013 Houston Texas

In September 2013 we hired JR King and his company Pier Master Foundation Repair to repair our foundation. We hired him because he said we would have a lifetime warranty that was transferrable to anyone who owned the house and guaranteed his work.

We signed his contract in October 2013 for % 5,800.00 to replace 24 piers on 5-6' centers and gave him his required deposit at the time of signing the contract ( $ 2900.00) in the form of a check to begin the work.  

8 weeks after doing these repairs - around mid December 2013 - we bgan noticing our doors being 'stuck' again as they were before the repair and also noticed continued leaning of certain areas of the house - back to the state in which they were before the repair was made.

I immediately called JR and he said it would be no problem to get back and do the corrections. Each time I called him to ask when they would be coming out - he would say he would need a couple of weeks do to their work schedule. The telephone numbers I had were (832) 267-6078 (which seemed to be a business voice mail service where no one would ever answer) and then his cell phone which he had given me ( 832) 240-1213.

I waited several times for several of the 'it will be a few weeks' periods and then began calling him every single morning for at least 1 month with no response. This continued through March 2014. I got tired of calling and realized that I probably got bamboozled from this fast talking guy.

Then in late summer of 2014 as I continued to notice further movement of the areas where the foundation had been repaired - I decided to call him again.  But because I knew that he would recognize my telephone number and may not answer - I called from a different phone.  I did get his voice mail but I did not leave a message as I did not want him to know it was me calling from a different number.  As soon as I hung up the phone after making this call and leaving no message - he called back to the number I was calling from saying he had just missed a telephone call.  Yet when he called - he said his name was 'Robbie'.  I then informed him it was me - and he was quite surprised and told me that his father had died back in the spring and they had gotten behind but were catching up and he would call me in a couple of weeks to make it right and come and repair the foundation according to the lifetime warranty.

Needless to say - I have never heaard back from him as of now - March 28 2015.

For some reason - yesterday - I decided to 'google' his name and company to see if they were still around and one of the first listings was from The Rip Off report.  So I add to this report in order to

(1) inform anyone else as the original poster of this report of my experience with JR King or Robbie King or whatever he calls himself now)

(2) Receive a response from JR or Robbie  or Pier Master Foundation Repair and have the warranty on my home foundation repair honored.

At this point - his website is down and telephone numbers do not work.

We spent $ 5800.00 in cash to get this work done and warrantied.  He provides a nice little 'Lifetime Foundation Warranty' with nice gold designs on it. Holds no weight with his actions.

I am in hopes I get the response and correction as the gentlemen who made his complaint on here received - and that is to make good on the warranty.
