Pimsleur Language Do not fall for Pimsleur Pitch Please! Internet

I ordered the $9.95 CD for Spanish from Pimsleur; my first mistake!

I went past the 30 day trial period; 2nd mistake!

I called the company to cancel and was told they would do that and not bill me anymore except I would have to pay the 1st amount of $64 since I was over the 30 day trial. Since I now owned that shipment I sold it on eBay for $49 figuring I was only taking a loss of $15.

A month later they billed me another $64 and said the entire course was on the first shipment that I had sold (it was useless to me anyway). They never made that clear. After talking at length to their rep on the phone I was told they would give me a 50% discount and not deduct any further money from my credit card after the 2nd installment of $64.

I can only hope they won't deduct anymore from my CC.

I did report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I only wish I had done some research on them BEFORE I placed an order and saved myself this aggravation! It was a rookie mistake and I'm generally not a rookie!!
