Pinnacle Automotive Protection They had all the necessary reports and information regarding my vehicle and my claim on time and failed to notify me that they are rejecting my claim until after I authorized the repair shop to tear down my transmission. Why didn't they notify me they won't pay for the repair. If they had and I knew I had to pay for it myself I wouldn't let the repair shop tear down my transmission. Also what was the point of them sending an inspector to see the transmission when rejecting my claim. Dupo Illinois

I came to find out that my vehicle has transmission problem. Took it to the dealer to inspect the transmission and They said its not showing any codes but the tech thinks there is a problem but It is still drivable. I was afraid it will stop one day. So just like any other human being would do, I started looking for Auto Warranty just in case if my transmission stops. I came across with Pinnacle Automotive Protection company online. A sales person called me and gave me some information which was very promising( the way they always advertise). The only condition he explained me was to drive my car for 30 days and 1000 miles before i can open up any claims. my contract's effective date was 11/21/2012.

After driving my car for months the transmission got worse and worse and finally decided to take it for a repair. Pinnacle rejected my dealer because dealer does not tear down any transmission. they just replace it. Pinnacle Automotive sends an inspector to check the transmission therefore I had no other choice to take my vehicle to a repair shop where they would tear it down. Dropped off my vehicle on a Moday (6/24/13) morning at the repair shop. Got a call from them that the warranty company wants all the details and reports of my services. Faxed a report to The warranty company and they said its not detailed. I requested my dealer to fax a detailed report. Called the warranty company to confirm they received the fax they told me the adjustor has gone for the day.

Tuesday(6/25/13) morning I got a call from the repair shop saying the warranty company has my reports and they need my permission to tear down the transmission so an inspector will go and check it. Permission was given because I thought if there was anything wrong or missing they would ask for it and not ask me to give permission to tear down the transmission.

Wednesday (6/26/13) called the repair shop to get an update they told me the inspector has not showed up.

Thursday (6/27/13) called again sure enough the inspector had not been there yet. Called Pinnacle Automotive to get an update they told me the inspector will be at the shop by the end of the day. Thursday end of the day called the shop to get an update it was too late and they were gone.

Friday(6/28/13) I got a call from the repair shop saying the warranty company has rejected my claim and they are saying The service records show that you had this problem before purchasing the warranty.

Called the warranty company to find out they were very unprofessional and lots of attitude. spoke to the adjustor and asked him one simple question, why you didn't contact me and tell me you are rejecting my claim? You had all the information you needed. Why did you have to wait until the last day? All this week I haven had one call from you regarding this claim to keep me updated.first of all I wouldn't let the repair shop tear down my transmission if you had done your job correctly and contacted me on time. Secondly, what was the reason of you sending an inspector to check the transmission end of the day on Thursday and reject my claim on Friday morning. during my conversation with him all he kept saying was " it's a pre-existing condition."

Now I am left with either paying $500 to put may old transmission back which is not a guaranty it will work at all since its all been taken apart or $3200 to repair the transmission. And of course the preparing shop wants me to make a quick decision and get the car out of the door either way.

I need help because I know this is just a rip off. I paid a down payment of $135 and monthly payments of $79.97 every month starting Nov. of 2012. When they sell and want your money you better be on time but when you need them they rip you off.
