Pioneer Pacific College PPC Rip-Off Education at a HIGH PRICE Springfield, Oregon

To all those who may be thinking of attending Pioneer Pacific College, RUN! My boyfriend and I had just moved to Eugene and didn't know the area too much. I hate to say it but I was the one who dragged him down to my appointment. They make it sound promising. They show you how you can have your career in 2 years. Sounds great right? So, my boyfriend and I went into the criminal justice program.

At first we had a really great teacher who was our program directer, Jason. He was a lawyer that worked part time for the city as well. He was great. He was the only teacher there that had hard classes. No tests were open book and the homework was extensive. But that didn't last long, because he left. He was replaced by the easiest teacher who basically only read out of the book. She was known for never getting out of her chair. We even took a picture of her the 1 time she did get up to teach for 5 min. Most of the classes were a peice of cake. I only liked the ones that I really felt I was learning in, which was few.

Long story short. I graduated with honors in 2008. My degree gets me the same jobs as a high school diploma. I am now in a community college that could NOT accept 1 credit from PPC. While attending PPC I did NOT recieve any finacial aid or help from the school. My education that is useless cost me a little over $16,000!!! Yes, $16,000!!! Funny thing is, when I tried to get a non-offiical transcript I had a bablance still due. I owe $90 for a graduation fee (are you kidding me) and for testing out of a typing class. If I don't pay this I will be sent to collections. I know $90 isn't that much not to be sent to collections but when you've paid $16,000 for an education and the time that you spent attending, you're over it! You want to scream through the phone. Talking to the nice lady over the phone I told her that I can't even use the degree and that I had to start at the very begining again. She felt bad and not the least bit surprised. It seemed that she had already heard this a time or two before.

Every person I meet that tells me they thought about going to PPC I plead for them not to go. Not that it's hard after I tell them my story. I hate Pioneer Pacific College with a passion! They say they help after you graduate but I e-mailed on several occasions and got no response. I only hope that someone can fight these people. If we could at least take away any government funding. It sickenss me to see the commercials air on TV!
