Just received a property tax bill for a little postage machine,DM100, that is over 3 years old. 

Pitney Bowes reported this machine was worth, $2,385 and thus we were taxed on this. In actuality, this is probably worth only $300.  People can buy a used car for $2,300.  After contacting Pitney Bowes, the rep stated, "I cannot fix the allotted cost on the equipment."  Granted she is just an employee and has little say in this but she was adamant that no one else in the company would reassess this cost.  Why?  We are a small non-profit association and every little bit hurts. Leasing this little DM100 machine from Pitney Bowes will cost us $8,440 by the end of our five year lease.  Advice dont lease from Pitney Bowes unless your company can afford it.  Next move online postage.
