I ordered a pizza August 28th for delivery. 45 minutes went by, I received a phone call from the driver saying that he had run out of fuel. The manager was going to pick up the pizza and drop it off. I called 30 minutes later (1 hour 15 minutes at this point) to see where the pizza was. The gentleman that picked up the phone at the restaurant was quite rude because he thought that I was the driver that ran out of fuel. I asked if I was still going to be charged for it. He said no, that it's on the house tonight with our apologies.

Fair enough, no big deal. Stuff happens and life goes on. 1 hour 45 minutes pass and the pizza finally shows up after my dinner guests had left to find their own food. One may be shocked to learn that after almost two hours, a pizza is no longer hot nor is it edible. It went right in the garbage.

Monday rolls around and I check my bank account. The charge for the pizza had funded and was debited from my checking account. No sweat. It's probably just in processing as a refund. Nope! Two more days go by, and the refund isn't pending. I called the store again and spoke to a manager on Wednesday. He told me that he would get everything straightened out and refund my card. I thanked him and went about my business.

The following Monday arrives and I still see no pending refund for the pizza. I emailed the customer interaction department found on their corporate website and received a call the next day from some guy named Packer. He left a voicemail because I was far too busy at work to answer a phone call. I returned his call, leaving him a voicemail. Here it is, the following week Wednesday, and I still haven't received a phone call back or a refund. At this point, I declare a PR war on Pizza Hut. I plan to destroy you on Yelp, Facebook, RipoffReport, Google, Yahoo, and every other medium I can possibly find that will take a review.

I have always had superior service and product from Pizza Hut in the past and I have been a loyal customer for many years. Convenience is quite important to a guy like me that devotes 70 hours of his week to work while maintaining a home and a family. Small things like this are irritating and should not go unnoticed. It's not about the $12.71 that they owe me, it's the principle of the matter. I was promised a refund for a product and service that did not meet my expectations, then the service after the fact was downright disgusting. I hate being ignored, so maybe if I start putting my thoughts in black and white, it'll finally sink in that customers should't be treated with disrespect and dishonesty.

I literally see this as a poorly managed franchise at the employee, store, and district level. We shall see if it is poorly managed at a corporate level. You're welcome to contact me any time to discuss this matter. Mr. Packer has my number on the voicemail I left.
