Go online to this pizza Pizza Hut at 1712 E Guadalupe in Tempe AZ.  Order a $10 pizza with unlimited toppings and an order of spicy bar-b-que wings for $8.99, add the $2.50 delivery charge and applicable taxes and pay by credit card online for the total given at the end of your order, mine was $22.15 and...............after waiting 45-minutes which is not excessive, have the delivery driver show up and ask you to sign a receipt for $34.04.  Whoa.  What happened to the total on the screen I ask.  "You ordered two pizzas" is my answer".  No I didn't.  How would I know the total $22.15 if it wasn't given to me at the end of my order?  The driver is sympathetic and gives me the alternative, refuse the entire order or give me one pizza back, you still need to sign the receipt to get the pizza and wings and within 48-hours you will get an email with a $10 credit for your next pizza. Let me get this straight, I paid what I was told to pay but you're telling me my final total grew to just under $12 more dollars on your way here.  The driver when pressed about how this happened said, "I'm going to call my manager".  He is standing outside, on the phone with the manager and informs me that's the only way it can be handled if I want my supper.  "Are you sure I'll get a credit" I ask?  "Of course, this does happen ALL time the time".  Okay.  After he leaves I'm wondering, what just happened.  I go online and send a message to the Pizza Hut web to explain, I am feeling ripped off.  I sent my story, selected "Respond to me by email" and their website says I'll be contacted within 24 hours.  I even entered the best time to email me.  Guess what.  I am now approaching 82 hours, nothing from the Pizza Hut on Guadalupe, nothing from Corporate, I'm still waiting for my credit confirmation.  The Pizza was good but it wasn't worth what I wound up paying.  Warning to fellow Pizza Lovers, if you're ordering online with a credit card make sure you call this Pizza Hut and verify what you saw on your Order Total before you submit the payment.  Seems this Pizza Hut thinks this is a good way to ensure repeat business.  Well, they won't be getting any repeat business from me ande I hope I can save others a lot of hassle.  Yes, I called my bank and am disputing the whole bill hoping that will get somebody's attention.  I'll pay for what I ordered but I won't participate in their new and improved marketing strategy.

On my  way home from work I received a call from a gentleman who identified himself as Don Axely (sp?), the store manager.  He apologized several times and explained this store had just changed from corporate to a franchise and that the problem of the extra pizza and charges may be linked to their internet service.

He apologized for not getting in touch with me in a timely manner and said all his customers were important to him and that he wanted to make my experience "right" in the hope of keeping me as a customer.

Don indicated my bank account would be credited $12.00 and that he had placed a $10 credit on my account to go towards a future pizza order.

I beleived he was sincere and really wanted to do something to show that he does care about what happened and said he was going to continue searching to find the problem so it won't affect other customers.

I told Don I appreciated his concern and efforts and told him that in my mind we were okay and I promised to order again with his store.

People makes mistakes.  Systems make mistakes.  Programs make mistakes.  I accept Don's apology and respect what he said and what he did.

I'm back on board with Pizza Hut at 1712 E. Guadalupe as they proved to me they are willing to accept responsibility for the mistakes that may occur in his store.

With Don there, I'm sure I'll be ordering another pizza soon.  Good job Don!
