I ordered a custom trailer thorugh Plain Ol' Trailer in Pearson GA. The sales man I delt with was Barner Cox. We exchanged multiple emails and spoke on the phone at length about the specail needs I had.

Two of my concerens that were made very clear were that the rear door be at least 5'8" tall and that the overall height of the trailer be 8ft tall.

Admittedly I felt as though Barnie was not being fully attentive in my needs however after the phone calls and multiple emails that stipulate my exact needs I was confident enough to order the trailer a gave a deposit of roughly $750.00 dollars.

An invoice was produced however there was no mention of the door height or the height of the trailer on the invoice. I should have called to varify my specs but felt they were well aware of what I needed at this time.

After several weeks I called to find that my trailer was apparently ready? At this time I made arrangements with Barnie the sales rep to leave my truck on site while I worked in Miami so I could pick up the trailer on my return home the day before Thanksgiving.

When I arrived Novemebr I was surprised that Barnie had not moved my truck as requested but it was still there so no worries. However when I went into the shop everyone was leaving early?

I can understand folks wanting to leave early the day before Thanksgiving but why Barnie did not tell me this is beyond me since he said I could pick up the trailer on this day and must have known I was coming?

So now everyone is leaving and I received a serious attitude from the clerks at the desk. They stated that I could not pick up the trailer because it was too late and they were leaving. Keep in mind this is right after lunch.

I was quite upset at this time and demanded to speak with Barnie as he was the one that made these arrangmenets and of coasre he had already left the premises as well!

I called Barney and he simply said sorry dude. Nothing I can do.

So now I have driven my truck 6 hours from home and made arrangements to pick up on this day and he's simply not caring at all!

I pitched a serious attitude and finally one of the men working on site convinced the clerk to process me so I could avoid the 12 hour round trip to pick up my trailer.

At this point i'm quite upset. Actually i'm shaking I'm so furious at Barnie! For him to make these arrangements and not give any care to the problem he had created seriously bummed me out.

Finally they pull up the trailer after I paid the balance with a chashiers check.

Of corse everything is being rushed because everyone is trying to leave and I'm given the go ahead to leave as I'm holding them up.

A few weeks later when I have a chance to switch trailers I find that my rear door is only 5'6"!!!!

My equipment will not fit in the trailer!

I call Barnie to see what he can do and he's says its a used trailer now and he is not able to do anything for me!

As you can imagine I'm very dissapointed with my experince with Plain Ol' Trailer and would suggest anyone considering purchasing through Barnie Cox be vary careful and make sure he does what he says he will.

I would also make sure that you inspec your purchase before leaving the factory even if your being rushed because they will call your purchase used as soon as you leave their location and will do nothing to help you.

Also I would only pay with a credit card so you at least have some protection.

Lastly I would like to mention that I had my lawyer send Plain Ol' Trailers a letter demanding that they either return the trailer a let me exchange for the trailer I had ordered. At this time I have not received a response and its been nearly 6 weeks. I'm considering taking them to small claims court.

If I were you I would simply go somewhere else as Plain Ol' Trailers is a very shading operation in my opinion!

Good morning, did you ever resolve this? If so what did they do? I just got a trailer from them it is so horribly built that I can’t even use it. Barny’s replay was you can use it, just don’t put weight on it!!! SERIOUSLY!!!. When we order this trailer we told them the side that we needed and the axels that we needed. Well when they built the trailer they did not compansate for the larger axle, so now the tires are rubbing so bad, that the tire are going flat on the trailer. Barny did not wan it to take the trailer back. His way to fix this was having me buy another trailer from them. So now I would have 2 trailer and pay extra $4,000+ to have it fix. I ask for my money back and no respond. His respond to me "I'm told it's no unsafe on the road, it's only unsafe when it's loaded with 10,000# cargo” "I can't take back your trailer but we can give you a discounted deal on a new one” How do they wan to fix this well I will attach some pictures of our conversation, then tell me if you think is fair
