Plains Chevrolet Never Do Business With Plains Chevrolet Amarillo Texas

Never, ever waste your time or money in doing any business with Plains Chevrolet in Amarillo, TX or for that matter no Chevy dealerships in Amarillo, TX - because they are owned by the same people. After dealing with them merely on a service issue with my trailblazer; I realized exactly why I had driven all the way to Hereford to actually purchase my chevy from the reputable dealer - Stevens Chevrolet. I was told that I had to pay for diagnostic tests that should have been covered under warranty (the exact tests that had been performed two days earlier and were covered under warranty) due to the fact that I had installed a Fram air filter on my car. I was also told by their service person that there was a bulletin posted that stated that Fram air filters would cause the problem I was having with my car; the check engine light was coming on and so therefore, I had to pay for the diagnostics tests because of the installation of the Fram air filter. I almost refused to pay the bill; but in wanting to get my car back and to not cause a scene I paid the bill. Upon arriving home; I myself tried to locate such a bulletin on GM.com, and also contacted the service manager at Stevens Chevrolet and was informed by him that the bulletin posted for my chevy did not state anything about Fram air filters causing the problem. I have left numerous messages for JR Messer; it states on the receipt if you are not satisfied to contact him. Yea right - like he cares. I haven't received one call back. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB in my area; and surprisingly this company refuses to be a member of the BBB - wonder why? I will never, ever do business with this company ever again - it is company's like this one that makes you realize why the Auto industry is in the situation that there are in.
