DISCRIMINATES AGAINST WOMEN!  Can you give 0 stars?  I literally hate Planet Fitness Charlotte University, North Carolina location.  They suck in service and I was totally insulted today by two of the employees.  One is a manager and the other is just a staff member.  Both males.  

Females/mothers need to have access to their cell phones in emergency purposes.  We need to be able to tote our cell phone in a small bag ( like a tiny purse).  If we don't do that, we can leave it one of those machines.  Worst of all, we can miss the call from our sick child, etc.  Guys, on the other hand, can carry cell phones in their pockets. 

I was actually on my way out and doing my last leg of workout in the front ab section.  I literally had 20 seconds left.  One of the employees came to me and stated that he needed to take my tiny bag until I finished my workout.  I explained that I only have 20 seconds left.  Instead of letting me quietly and peacefully finish my workout, the manager comes over to me and insists that I give them my tiny bag.  I said I always carry it and only have 20 seconds left.  He kept going on and on and actually insulted me by stating that they don't allow bags because someone can steal their equipment.  What!  This bag is barely small enough to fit my keys and cell phone.  

This was enough for me.  I'm not going to pay a gym each month and be insulted.  They definitely have a double standard.  I must also say that this manager is a Tiger Woods wanna be who wouldn't respect his mother because he seems like he is embarrassed of his heritage (if you understand what I mean).

I am a church going law abiding citizen who looks as innocent as a baby.  I was already having a hard time adjusting to the fact that the place is always so hot (because of the lack of a/c and no ceiling fans).  It is a germ-fest and ebola spreading opportunity just waiting to happen.  The customer service sucks!  They treat members horribly.  Now cars are getting broken into with the smash and grab incident(s).  It just happened last night or today - I saw the broken glass in the parking lot.  Finally, I'm tired of being harassed by male members when I go.  It's like a meat market in the worst way.  You can't work out in peace.

If you are looking for a gym, I would say don't even think about joining this one.  The one on Highway 29 is so much better.  There are other gyms in the area, and if you want to have a peaceful workout without worrying about someone breaking into your car or being harassed by stinky guys or wanna be Tiger Woods managers, then don't join the University location.
