In Oct 2007 my boyfriend and I both paid for a 6 month subscription to pogo.com. Pogo sent us both a confirmation email with a code to renew our subscriptions. Mine went through fine but when my boyfriend went to confirm his subscription they said his confirmation number was not valid. My mom used her debit card to renew both subscriptions for us and they didnt have any problem taking the money out of her account. I called the number listed for pogo and I and I emailed them about the problem. My mother called them also and sent them copies of the confirmation emails and proof of where they took the money out of her account, the response we received was " I'm sorry maam but WE DONT MAKE MISTAKES!!!" I said well obivously you do because we didnt get our subscription.

The woman I spoke to said my boyfriends confirmation number was issued to someone else and that there wasnt anything they could do about it, I asked if they could issuse him another number because it was obious that they issued the number to 2 different people and they said that was impossible. They gave me the other persons id name and I sent her an email describing the situation and come to find out she didnt even renew her subscription and was playing on my boyfriends subscription and wouldnt even help get the situation straightened out.

Anyway, its now time for me to renew my subscription again. I like playing the games but I refuse to let them have a chance of screwing us out of anymore money

There's more to their ripoffs than that, much more

I purchased a 1 year gift subscription for my ex in Dec 2007. I cancelled my pogo account in Nov 2008. In Dec 2008, my ex renewed her account for another year. Not knowing this, I purchased another 1 year gift sunscription for her. In addition to this, pogo renewed her previous years gift subscription on my credit card without any authorization. They have made their position clear - no refunds. The main issue here is how they renewed a gift subscription without authorization for the benefit of a third party, and all they had to say about it is no refunds. People have been convicted of fraud for doing exactly the same thing. If you have used a credit card on pogo, you would be wise to have your card replaced with a new number.

lol, another 10$ winner coming to pogo's defense. question for all you pogo defenders...??? if you have never had a problem with pogo and think they are so wonderful, why the hell are you coming on rippoff to defend them? more than likely a pogo flunky or another $10 winner.

I have had a subscription to Pogo for 5 years. I have NEVER had a problem with any part of the site. They have always treated subscribers with kindness and respect. I have bought Gems, games and my subscription with both a credit card and a debit card with no issues at all.

Any time I've had a question, the person responding to me has treated me with kindness and respect. I suspect there was a error on your part and you were hoping for a free subscription.

Just my opinion.
