Pool Perfection is a licensed pool contractor for Pinellas County, Florida. Pool Perfection owner is Kevin Plankey. Dave (no last name )claimed to be a partner at the initial meeting. Dave gave Robert a verbal price of $50,000 or under for a 15x30 pond shaped pool to be completed by May 2016. Robert received a much smaller pool for over $10,000 more than originally quoted. It actually is shaped like a duck. When Robert complained about the size of the pool, Dave said 'Read Your Contract" and yelled at Robert on his own property and humiliated him instead of addressing Robert's needs. The pool was not completed until late July, early August. There were still many minor things not completed for weeks after that. Pool Perfection raised Robert's property level 3 or 4 feet which caused flooding problems. Dave did nothing but give advice on how to fix the issue at Robert's expense. Robert had to hire a contractor to dig a trench on the side of the house leading towards the street or front of the house. There was also another issue with the pool screen gutter Pool Perfection installed a gutter that is causing roof damage because it was not pitched properly. Water stays in gutter and leaks into roof many hours after rain because the gutter is improperly angled. The water just sits and leaks into the flat part of the roof. Pool Perfection claims they brought a roofing contractor to Robert's home and said it was the roofer's fault even though Kevin Plankey explained to Robert that he would reinstall gutter. Robert claims Kevin did not bring a roofing contractor. He brought his own pool screen enclosure contractor who is not an authority on roofing. My friend Robert believe's Pool Perfection did not act in good faith. My friend Robert's opinion is that Dave acted in bad faith by selling Robert a pool and changing the verbal agreement to a written agreement for much smaller pool. Robert is upset with Pool Perfection's horrible customer service. My friend Robert recommends you read your contract and make contractor write what he said verbally. Never believe a contractor.
