Port St. Lucie Taxi Left high and dry by this cab company Port St. Lucie Florida

I needed a cab from a very well known and obvious location in Port St. Lucie to a rental car agency. I knew the agency close at 12:00 p.m., so I called for a cab at 10:30 a.m. The rental car was about 20 minutes from my original location.

The first time I called, a fellow with a foreign accent told me 20 minutes, after it took me several minutes to explain my location over and over (The big baseball stadium for the Mets, Tradition Field). I waited outside with my lugage in the Florida sun for 25 minutes. I called back, the same fellow told me "he is almost there." Waited 10 more minutes, I called back. This time the guy said "he is there." No cabbie there, so after arguing with the dispatcher, he tells me that the driver will call me. The driver, who was actually a nice guy calls my cell phone and said his boss (the dispatcher) sent him to the other side of town at a different location. The driver knew exactally where I was when I spoke with him, as would anyone who lived there.

So at about 11:35 a.m., I am getting in the cab to get the rental car. The driver tells me that the guy on the phone owns the company and is horrible with directions and communicating. The end of the story is I missed my rental because the agency was closed and was instantly late for everything else the rest of the day. I was almost completely stranded if not for one car left in the only other open lot for miles and miles. The owner wanted to charge me extra, for telling him the wrong location at first. The driver could not bring himself to do it. This was the most unprofessional contact I have ever had with any business. I registered on this site to tell this story.
