i purchased my jeep wrangler at power chrysler jeep dodge in phoenix,az....excited i was getting it with a skyjacker lift that was installed at the dealership. it looked great with that and the large tires.

all great until i take it in for an oil change at one of these quickie oil change places called me back with the bad news. i had two broken drive shafts so they recommended i get it to the nearest jeep dealership. well, i now have the vehicle in florida. so the dealership put it on a hoist and did all sorts of inspections and had a person who specializes in lift kits look over the vehicle.

turns out power jeep chrysler dodge installed the sky jacker lift kit with support bars missing and just welded parts to the frame that created the problem. and since they were kind enough to fax the pictures back and forth to skyjacker the manufacturer it was confirmed that this was completely backwards. at this point i feel lucky that i was never stranded someplace or been in a bad accident.

when power was contacted they tried very hard to avoid having to pay for the repairs. they knew they were neglectful with all of the proof that the jeep dealer in florida had provided. finally they told the service manager that they would send a check to pay for two new drive shafts but would not pay for the support bars and extra pieces to make it right.

the kicker...since the dealership had to call to find out if my warranty would cover the driveshafts it redflagged my warranty and for some reason chrylser/jeep voided my entire vehicle warranty which i had 60,000 miles remaining on the warranty. the entire thing completely screwed up my life for a month. after getting my jeep back and realizing i am now stuck with a vehicle with no warranty because of power i ended up just trading out of the vehicle that i loved because i knew the new driveshafts would not be supported and the drive train warranty was even voided. what was the point of keeping it.

i can only imagine how many other lifts they have thrown on this way.
