Our 140 year old brick home was painted when we purchased it three years ago. So, this year we decided to have brick tuck-pointing, facia boards and crown moulding replaced and have the paint taken off.
HIRED PRECISE REMODELING INC & SALVATORE TORNAMBENE TO BRICK TUCK-POINT, REPLACE FACIA BOARDS & CROWN MOULDINGS. INSTEAD, THEY SMEARED CEMENT IN GLOPS WITH THEIR HANDS & DID NOT KNOW HOW TO USE A SAW .....
On 4/22/02 we signed three contracts with PRECISE REMODELING, INC. for brick tuck-pointing of our home and new facia boards and new crown mouldings. He did not start work until 7/1/02 the 4th of July week. Mr. Tornambene kept telling us it was raining where he lived. Big joke. We are 15 minutes from where he lives and we had no rain.
He is NOT mason and neither were his helpers. Cement is smeared all over my brick home in clumps with their hands. He is NOT a carpenter and neither are his helpers. They cut wood by balancing a saw on a thin piece of plywood atop two sawhorses.
They would show up to work and leave for the day after one, two or three hours. They sat on top of the main roof and tossed coffee cups into my bushes and cigarettes on my lower porch roofs.
They have destroyed our back porch roof, our family room roof, the main roof which is slate is all broken up. There is cement and debris all over everything.
All the window sills, decks and roofs are covered with cement. And, a number of Lexan (plastic) windows are completely destroyed. And he wants to know why I requested he "cease and desist all work on my home".

Well Mr. Tornabene never showed up for court on 9/16/02. But he did call the judge while we were waiting and said he just got home from Albany, NY. The judge set a new date of 10/7/02 but Mr. Tornambene said he had to be in New York City to fight for full custody of his children. A new date of 10/21/02 was set and Mr. showed finally showed up with with a lawyer from his insurance company and his wife Alison to defend him. BUT, HE LOST HIS CASE.!!!!!! His insurance company has cancelled his insurance as of 9/30/02. Stay away from this company and these people.

On August 21, 2002 I received a summons to appear on September 16, 2002 in Small Claims Court. PRECISE REMODELING d/b/d SALVATORE TORNAMBENE is suing me because "I WON'T LET HIM DO ANY MORE DAMAGE TO MY HOME"

On July 23, 2002 PRECISE REMODELING d/b/a SALVATORE TORNAMBENE showed up at my home to retrieve the thirty some pieces of below grade pine boards that he was putting up on my home, two aluminum extension ladders, one eight foot wooden ladder, three sets of sawhorses. He told the Deputy I was holding his tools. Incident Report taken states UNFOUNDED - CASE CLOSED.
