I noticed an amount of $9.99 charged to me on my T-Mobile Phone bill as "Usage Charges".

I called the T-Mobile Customer Service @ 1-800-937 8992 on 6th March 2009, and talked to "Vincent", Personal ID # 135809012.

Vincent was unable to provide me any proof of authorization by me for ordering "that" service, charged to me on my bill as "Usage Charges". Something he kept saying about was that this is "automatic" charge!!! I understand the call was being recorded by T-Mobile for "quality purposes". He however, has assured that it will be taken off, and that, I will be refunded the amount charged on my phone bills.

The amount of money being ripped off from customers, together by T-Mobile and Predicto, is understandably enormous! I will be more than happy to join in for anything if I can be of help, to get this ripoff stopped by T-Mobile and Predicto.

Predicto

I think these companies exist to make my job harder so I understand why you are frustrated being the consumer charged for it. I have heard a multitude of ways to get these added to your bill. A lot of times visitors to myspace or facebook see these because they fill out quizzes online which they have sent to their phone and I also spoke to guy who had signed up at jobs.com using of course his number and began to be billed. It does tell you you will be billed but the notice is barely legible. For the most part, I don't even argue and simply send for a refund through the company with the only exception being adult chat rooms which bill .99 for incoming and outgoing messages. We see both the incoming and out coming and if you responded a multitude of times then I think its fair to assume that these were made with your knowledge. Also they are a bit harder to sign up for and much clearer about the charges you are agreeing to pay. As for the 9.99, don't get upset... just contact customer care and advise them that you didn't request this content and don't want it to continue billing. You can text the word stop to the company but if you continue to get texts from them they are still billing you and you want to contact T-Mobile and have us block them. Other than adult content the only other refusal I have made in refunding this service is when I saw a woman with 500.00 worth of credit for these. All of these charges for the most part came from various ringtone sites and I was compelled to say no because they are still a company that provides a service (at times) which she appeared to readily be using.

There are many services out there that are 'monthly subscriptions'. The company you recieve this subscription from submits the charge via your Tmobile bill. We can block the company from charging again but the best route is to cancel the subscription through the company directly. There have been a bunch of customers i spoke with that were under the assumption that they downloaded a free ringtone from a company on TV and that was it.. but in actuality, there is in print at the bottom of the screen that advises they are signing up for a subscription for X amount a month. So step 1 is contact Predicto. If you have no success canceling the subscription, call Tmobile and we can have it 'blacklisted' for you. But a refund can only be processed through Predicto.

other service providers

AUTHOR: Lala - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 07, 2009

unfortunately all carriers are able to charge on behalf of other service providers, ie predictomobile, not just t-mobile. these other providers usually offer something free, ringtones, walpapers etc. they ask for ur phone number on the website and once you provide that it starts a subscription. unfair i know, as i have had charges on my own bill as well. we can blacklist a provider, (block) once charges have appeared but not before. we also request the refund on your behalf. usually because caling the other provider is more trouble then it is worth. the refund will be on your bill within 1 to 2 billing cycles and this is because the refund is coming from the other provider who charged you. t-mobile does not see a dime of the 9.99 subscription fee. to avoid this in the future, beware etering your phone number online or replying to and short codes, 4, 5, 6 digit numbers that display on text messages were a phone number or email address would appear. if you do get one reply with the word stop immediately and cal your carrierto make sure there are no charges. hope this helps. oh yeah search predictomobile in rip off reports, it appears with all carriers.
