On April 7, 2009, while on my computer an opportunity survey came up to pay $5.00 for opinion. I filled out a form including my cell phone number. After reviewing the questions, but not answering any of the opinion questions, I decided that this was not for me....NOT FOR ME! So I closed the window and within seconds I mean 2 seconds my cell phone alerts me to a text message. Before I could respond three more text messages were received.

I was amazed that it was from PREDICTO.COM that gave me the impression that this opinion was optional and ecspecially since I did not complete the so called opinion survey. One message gave me a PIN to use, I did not use this PIN because for one I don't use my text features, the other gave me 5 bonus ringtones, that I did not use because, I use standard provider given ringtones, another charged me for the service???? for not giving my opinion, in the amount of $9.99 per month WHAT - WHAT, which I did not use because, I have PREPAID ACCOUNT. Needless to say, my reason for not using text feature or purchasing ringtones is because I have a PREPAID ACCOUNT.

I was charged by AT&T for the text messages in the amount of 20 cent per text message times four, you do the math. This amount of $9.99 by predicto.com shows as monthly charge (?) that may be taken out of my account each month???? I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO DO SO, which means I've lost all the money in my prepaid account balance..therefore I could not even cancel the predictio.com or make a call to the company. All of my good intention for predicto.com are bankrupt.

This predicto.com is truely a piece of work. I will not be able to use my phone for other things like emergencies because of predicto.com. I will not be taken advantage of for another $9.99 so I intend to switch my prepaid service provider. Sorry for those folk whom are locked into their providers.

We must all work together to stop these kind of things from happening to consumers. Thank for your eyes and ears!

You can call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 800-360-0518 so that we can resolve your inquiry; you can also contact our customer service at http://predicto.com/support or by sending an SMS message with the word HELP to 654654. Keep in mind, we post our toll-free customer service number on our website and include it in SMS messages we send to your cell phone.

Please note we use an industry best practice double opt-in to prevent inadvertent or fraudulent sign-ups. To enroll in our service, a prospective member must first submit their cell phone number on the PredictoMobile sign-up page which clearly explains our terms and conditions including the monthly price of the service and billing to the cell phone. We then send a text message to their cell phone which again discloses the essential membership terms. They then must correctly enter the PIN on our website or reply with a confirmation SMS message from their cell phone to activate the account. The double opt-in process and clear disclosures ensures a high level of consumer protection and satisfaction. If a member wants to cancel the service, they can simply text stop to 654654 or call Customer Service or go to http://predicto.com/support.

We hope this addresses any concerns you may have; if not please contact us and we'll take care of your issues.

Sincerely,

Customer Service
