Prefered Long Distance A representative from this company called and stated that they were a third party vendor for AT&T. They said that our contract was expired and wanted to know if we wanted to renew.

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Prefered Long Distance is calling business and representing themselves as a third party vendor of AT&T calling to renew your contract.  You do not find out untill its to late that really not AT&T, nor do they verify the owner of the accounts.  This company basicly stole our phone numbers, shut down my business for a day with a bait and switch scam.  I have had several heated conversations with this company and am now having to play a game to be able to keep our phone numbers.  I had to pay them and pretend to be nice and oblivious so that they do not cancell our numbers.  This is unacceptable.  I would appreciate any advice people may have to recover what I had to pay them, and advice on escliating this type of matter.
