I received a rebate check in the mail for 3.25 from this company. As I do not have now or have ever had an account or credit card with them, I was very suspicious. As it turns out, this is a scam they utilize for, among other things, to enroll you in their "credit protection." They phish for your information in the guise of having a credit card with a limit of $2500 "preapproved" for you.

How sad that they prey upon individuals with these phoney promises for their own financial gain at the individuals' expense, in all likelihood long-term expense. Please protect your credit, as they suggest, but by STAYING AWAY FROM THEM.
