Preferred Guest Resorts contacted my mother and offered her a trip. She was so excited that she even purchased a second package so that more individuals go with her. During the original phone call she was never asked if she even qualified for the trip. She never received information by mail and called to find out more details. At that time she was notified by the customer service agent that she would received the information by email. During that phone conversation agent stated that she didn't qaulify for trips because she was not married. She was told that she could not get a refund and that she would have to transfer the trip to someone else, but there would be a charge. She has tried selling the package with no luck! After I took a look at the package online, because she stated she never received the email, I was able to find a letter attached to her account. In the fine print it states:

An inquiry of your financial status will be made upon check-in to confirm your qualifications. This vacation package is designed to promote vacation ownership plans for households with a combined income over $50,000, if your annual income is under $40,000 (disqualifying factor) at the time of travel you will forfeit your package and offered a discounted rate for accommodation nights. If you dont meet the qualifications, you may be housed and toured at an alternative accommodations provider and not permitted to enjoy the benefits of experiencing the activities and/or amenities offered by PGR or the sponsoring resorts. She was never asked about her income! This company is a scam and takes advantage of you!
