Our saga started mid July when we purchased a 2000 Lexus RX300 from Premier Auto Group. We soon discovered that our car had an Engine Oil Gelling problem. We were going through 1 to 2 quarts of oil a week and the exhaust was very bad when starting up the car.

After doing some research on the internet we found that this year vehicle was prone to the gelling problem. We went to Lexus of Portland and they found the records for this specific vehicle, we were lucky. The only thing missing were records from 2005 to March of 2008 when the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was brought in to Lexus in May of 2008 and was diagnosed with the Engine Oil Gel problem. It was then traded in by the previous owners to Premier Auto Group. Then we came along.

We tried to get some help from Premier Auto Group but they were not much help. We contacted Lexus International via the internet and they were fantastic!!!! About 2 emails later they said they would have the problem fixed for us, did we mention this was to the tune of well over $5,000.00? We couldn't be happier.

Our Lexus is being fixed as we speak and they gave us a beautiful 2008 loaner. Let this be a lesson to everyone who buys a car from this dealership(Premier Auto Group) or any new/used dealership to take your car to a mechanic and have it throughly checked first. Had we gone up the road to Lexus they would have pulled the files on this vehicle and we would have taken it back.

PS We do love the car anyway and it drives like a dream.
