It all started when I emailed Premier Models International about a model position for Miami Fashion week. I found their ad on craigslist.org. They called me in for an interview, so I went. They called me back about two days later and said they would love to sign me to a one year contract and they would like for me to work Miami Fashion week. The gentleman I spoke to was named Steven Reynolds. Mr Reynolds said I would be great for commercial. He told me the pay rate and everything. Mr Reynolds said in order to work fashion week I need high fashion photos. I told him not a probably because I have two friends that are great photographers. He said those are not real high fashioned photos and I need to take new ones. I debated on that subject for about ten minutes because I've been in the business for about five years now, however I finally got tired and agreed if it would help my career, so he recommended a photographer out of Orlando that charges $495 named Renee Elizabeth LeMieux (she's on facebook). He called me that Tuesday and the shoot was that Friday so that left me plenty of time to do some research. I only found one complaint on ripoffreport.com but it was rebutted by Hansel Anthony Barclay and a woman named Betty G. who supposedly signed her granddaughters up and they are happy she also gave me phones number to other people in the company. I even emailed "Betty" and she reassured me that the company is legitimate. So I paid for my pictures and went on my photoshoot. A week went by and I heard from no one and Miami Fashion week had started. So I tried calling Steven and no answer. I also tried emailing the company. A woman by the name of Christina Ivanski emailed me back and said the selections was made but I should be getting work soon. I explained that Steven said I already had the job I just needed pictures. She said when it came down to it my measurements stopped me from getting selected. I have not heard from them since mid March. The photographer was supposed to give me photoshopped copies of my pictures and I never got them either. I asked them about castings and she said there are none in my area (I live in Miami) and that I would have to travel out of state. She said I could find castings on their website, which has be under construction since March when I signed on. My questions is: why would someone promise me a job that I didn't already have? Why would they even recruit models at a rented out office space in downtown Miami if they didn't have work in Miami? The office shows no signs of a real agency modeling agency even existing there now that I think of it? Its really a rented business space, no pics of models, no comp cards of clients and camera equipment, etc. I am exposing everyone involved hoping to save others from this scam. I should have known better this is my third time being scammed. The ONLY reason I paid for those pictures is because Betty G said the company is real, I thought it would help my career and because there are minimum scam alerts under the name online, keep in mind this company that they are running is still new. Let's write as many scam alerts as possible under these people. I'm going to look into filing a civil suit. If anyone wants to team up with me and another model who emailed me as well please contact me. I have all my emails from this woman Christina and I'm going downtown Monday to see if the office is still there.

Premier Models International- Hanzel Anthony Barclay

AUTHOR: Latoya aka pissed off - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 31, 2013

It’s been over a year now and people are still emailing about my rip-off report for this so- called- talent agency, Premier Models International.  So I felt compelled to update.  No, I haven’t heard from the company since I gave them money for my pictures.  People have also written me saying that they have been scammed by Mr. Barclay and his team of crooks but it was too late to do anything about it.  So for those of you who are in doubt, yes, Premier Models International is a scam.  They have no home office.  They use shared office space that anyone that has a buck can lease out.  They are not BBB accredited.  They don’t even have a simple functioning website.  No I am not bitter, as a matter of a fact six months after I got scammed I was signed to a legitimate and prestigious talent agency, Emerge Talent, a division of Posche Models (http://www.emergetalent.com)  That’s the agency I recommend aspiring models and actresses contact for work.  They do not charge a sign up fee. They will not charge you for pictures and they have work all over Florida and the country. Premier Models International, however, are the devils incarnate. Stay far away if you haven’t committed to anything yet.  You did the smart thing by researching first, unlike me.  After I research Hanzel Anthony Barclay and found out he pulled this scheme more than once under different agency names, it was too late.  If you already gave them money, well then I’m sorry.  I’m not sure what you can do to get it back.  The police couldn't help me and I called a lawyer to sue but they said $500 is pointless to sue for. You will spend more than that in court fees. GOOD LUCK!

TIPS FOR NOT GETTING SCAMMED:

  • NEVER pay the modeling agency for pictures. No matter what the company says. Its fine if they recommend a photographer outside of the company but never pay the actual talent agency for the photos
  • NEVER pay for auditions.  Auditions are free.
The company makes their money from the talent AFTER the talent book a gig and gets paid for the job, and then the agency takes their percentage.
  • NEVER pay for classes through the agency. Its fine if the agency recommends an acting coach, which is what my agency told me to get, but they didn’t charge me for the class.  I found a coach that owned their own services.
  • ALWAYS RESEARCH ANY COMPANY, TALENT AGENCY OR NOT

By the way, I just received an email this morning.  Hanzel Anthony Barclay has changed his name to Hansel and is operating under a new agency name, Vamp Model Management. Vamp Model Management is a legitimate agency based of New York, but Mr. Hansel is not a representative of this company.  Don’t be fooled.  He did the same thing with Premier Models International.  He uses names of real companies but from other state.  That way if you Google the company, you will ASSUME he’s the real thing; But he’s going to ruin the reputation of these companies. His method of scheming is pretty much the same.  He will tell you your pictures are not good enough or that you need pictures and try to convince you to take more pictures with their fake company.  I’m going to file a report with the Attorney General, whom investigates fraud cases.  I’m also going to contact this agency in New York to warn them.  If you come across this man and his company please call the police of file a complaint.  He belongs in jail.

Sad Citizens

AUTHOR: Awesomeness - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 05, 2012

It's weird because dreadlocks are worn to signify peace and justice for all people, but Hansel Anthony is far from that. Things are only peaceful for him when he is ripping off people. And there is no justice for it either. I guess some people can really sink to low levels once they get addicted to that green. What this country is fighting against is money war. Everyone is poor these days. It's a terrible example for people three times our generation to lead the way by scamming the younger generation. I'd never do that. At least get some legitimate connections and stop using other people's businesses to make yourself look legit.

It's totally lame. And it's even worse to get real artists involved under the guise they are hired as a photographer or whatever. Because once they're done with you, they'll realize how worthless their profession really is. Most people aren't paying for photo shoots when they could be feeding their families and paying their rent. Everyone just wants a break. So they shell out hundreds. And then when they get nothing they blame themselves, but really the people who took that money should be blamed and held accountable for knowing what they were doing from the start. One day you'll realize how low you truly sunk. Hansel and Sizla (who deserves better). What a couple of lowly morons.

This will be my last update. I went to PMI office. Its a shared space. They don't even own their own space. Makes it impossible for you to track them down. I'm going to let it go and charge it to the game as my cousin say. Trust no one until you do your full research. DO NOT TRUST PREMIER MODELS INTERNATIONAL OR HANZEL ANTHONY BARCLAY, ANY OF HIS ASSOCIATES OR THE COMPANIES THAT ARE AFFILIATED WITH THESE PEOPLE. Let's all pray someone stop them. They are commiting serious fraud
Be safe everyone, God bless

POSTED: Sunday, July 01, 2012

Sad but true, WHEN PMI goes under, they will start over from scratch. But Christina and I are in a heated battle right now, literally.  I will personally see to it someone goes to jail. They are commiting fraud on a federal level. Since Hanzel is the only name that I can find and now I know hes an actual person, the jail bird will be him.  There will be one of two things that will make me happy, Hanzel will go to jail or I will get a refund.

History of Modeling Scams

AUTHOR: Awesomeness - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, July 01, 2012

A lot of people who sign with PMI also do not realize that before they were PMI, Mr. Barclay was working as a scout for "Omni Modeling Group" also based out of Florida. Here are some complaints I found. Same game, same story. This guy has no bad conscience. Hansel does this for a living and it's pretty disturbing.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/modeling-talent-agencies/premier-model-manage/premier-model-management-anth-8cc69.htm

http://www.bbb.org/central-florida/business-reviews/job-listing-and-advisory-services/omni-modeling-group-managment-in-orlando-fl-20235888

This Francois guy is actually on Model Mayhem working as a photographer, but anyone who doesn't follow through with their work is shady.
http://www.ripoffreport.com/modeling-agencies/omni-modeling-group/omni-modeling-group-hanzel-a-k8a5b.htm

This is a very disgusting sad story written by a young 18 year old girl who was sexually assaulted under the guise of working for a modeling agency. Also Hansel told me I'd be going to London... just like he did with her.
http://www.ripoffreport.com/modeling-talent-agencies/omni-model-group/omni-model-group-scam-young-ab5a7.htm

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090331174241AATP9nX

Omni eventually stopped running because of all these complaints. If PMI goes under, they'll probably just make up some new false agency that mimics real agencies.

They are liars! No one could ever get them on the phone!!

AUTHOR: Latoya aka pissed off - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 01, 2012

They get castings from websites like exploretalent.com which anyone can do for like $30-40 per month. Then they get a stupid business license, rented out some space to look legit and everything and then charge people $500+ for free castings and false promises. They have no real connects or clients. They are a disgrace! One of their models emailed me a listing that they just sent him today which is July 1st, about a Mercedez Benz fashion week on Miami Beach. Of course I did research and the casting call was an open casting call. Just like Miami Fashion week they will most likely hold auditions at their office for and charge models for pictures and never follow threw with their promises. I told the model simply this "Hey hun thanks unfortunately its a scam! This is what they do. Find casting online for free and charge people for them, the pictures that is. This is an open call, meaning anyone with potential can show. You do not need an agent. Here's the link from the miami herald http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/07/13/2312962/mercedes-benz-fashion-week-swim.html

Anytime its an open call most agents will let you know all the information including day, place and time. Just show up with resume in hand. I auditioned for South Beach Tow three times already. However, its an open call, they have them monday-Friday. Anyone can go but mostly the agents get first choice. So on the days that they only deal with agents, my agent will send me over and tell me to sign in with our agency, so it makes her look good plus she'll get paid IF I get casted. They didn't give you the casting info because they are holding out for your response. If you respond back with pictures and resume then they will send you the casting time and address. They trying to make you think the are well connected. They don't even have a client list on their website. Why? 1) the website has been down forever 2) they have no real clients.

Christina neglected to tell you that. She knows I been talking to these models and you. She or he is trying to save face. Come on, out of nowhere you get a casting and just last night, well 3 am we've been going at it literally through email. Give me a break. At least 10+ disturbing emails from her. Besides they never have castings in our area Only in Orlando or north Florida, where they are from. So their first casting down here in months turned out to be an open call from the Miami Herald which is the city's public newspaper. Remember, criminals aren't very bright." (I cannot post actually email to protect the integrity of the model)

The only notable model PMI have is a little girl (name will not be disclosed for the models reputation) however everytime I google these people and the people who are affiliated with them, this little girl pops up and her grandmother. Any fool can start blogs online, create a website or facebook steal pics from another website and then upload and change the name of the models to make it look like these people are getting work. They always tag pictures to their facebook and never really upload unless its and upload from a tagged picture. They only have one stupid blog article about the company that they themselves wrote; not the media, not some college student for a college paper. They wrote the blogs and I'm sorry just because you get one little girl work doesn't make it reputable, if anything it makes you look even more suspicious and the rest are complaints plastered everywhere.

I've been having a full on fight with "Christina Ivanski" all weekend through emails. She went from polite to vicious in seconds. Of course I provoked her but it was tactic. A real business woman will never lose her cool when she knows her product and services. She turned into a rabid dog, like a scammer who knows they just got caught. She or steve reynolds never answer their phones. I have three agents that are polite. They always answer and they have feedback, directions and if they don't they will find them out. Bottomline, these people are commiting fraud. I already spoke with a lawyer. That's a felony which will mostly serve federal time. I plan on filing charges. I hope this helps the rest of your unsuspecting models. Do Not Trust PREMIER MODELS INTERNATIONAL. Do not trust STEVE REYNOLDS OR CHRISTINA IVANSKI & and especially Do Not Trust HANZEL ANTHONY BARCLAY (suspected ring leader)

Sadness & Disappointment

AUTHOR: Awesomeness - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, June 30, 2012

Yes, I feel Latoya's pain, as a hardworking American I was lied to and manipulated. PMI tells its potential models over and over again they don't take any money from the photo shoot, and they don't charge them at all, claiming all they take is a commission from booked jobs. I signed onto the contract but thought it was weird they had me fill out no W9 or government forms. (Now if they read this, they will probably start doing that just so people think they are more legitimate.) No models on the FB page have commented or posted anything about jobs they've had with PMI, except for one girl whose words could have been manipulated as well. I've searched other agencies' sites and hundreds of people are always writing good things about recent bookings they've had. PMI has none... and they never announce castings on the page which is strange because all the other agencies do. Also, when a model is booked for a shoot... they are introduced to the client so the client can make their final decision. This agency just tells you that you are booked and that you will be flying out of the states within a couple of months without scheduling any kind of meeting with any client. And with clients who are huge names in fashion, they have the money to fly out and meet with the potential model who will be the face of an entire season's line. I think the agency just does this to keep people on a string so that when enough time goes by, that person can no longer ask for their money back.

I was told my shoot would cost 465.00 for the photographer... but then I found out the photographer only got 100.00. This is why they refunded me all my money I paid because they knew they lied to me. I don't trust anyone who lies to me. When I confronted "Steve" on the phone, he got very angry which is a sign that maybe he was trying to hide something.

I worked for a real agency a long time ago and my contract was longer than a page, I filled out government forms, and was sent on real castings in the area. The office was professional and had several people working in it. I had seen more than just two faces the whole time. Here in Jacksonville and Orlando there should be plenty of castings if PMI were real and had real networks, but there are none. The models who worked Miami Fashion Week were booked through other agencies. If PMI were real, they'd be able to give model references to newcomers who want to verify their legitimacy. My first agency showed me pictures of girls I went to high school who were signed with them and told me their first and last names. PMI never put me into contact with any models nor did they want me to try and contact anyone.

I also think it's weird that Christina Ivanski and Steve Reynolds do not show up on LinkedIn or any company websites. And also that Hansel Anthony shows up as a Vice President of PMI and owner of another business, but his business card says he is only the "Director of Talent Services." This site also says the location of the agency is in Windermere, FL... not Miami where they claim to be currently based. This was updated in May of this year... and I don't know who Adrian Assent is. Sizla and Hansel work together, but in the professional world, this is frowned upon and most companies have a policy that does not allow people to date each other if they work for the same company. And if they do, then they work in different sectors. However, Sizla (the initial consultant) also came to the photoshoot to meet with Hansel. It was very unprofessional. Also at the photo shoot, they did not give a crap about what I brought to wear. They didn't even ask to see. A real agent will put together outfits using your wardrobe as they see fit, and make sure you have hair and makeup done. They didn't go with me and the photographer, which was strange, because I was expecting some sort of direction from them as agents.

http://www.corporationwiki.com/Florida/Windermere/premier-models-international-inc/66395107.aspx

I'm heavily involved with research and debunking false information... so while I am not going to accuse this agency publicly I honestly feel that what they do is manipulative and dishonest. Anyone, with enough motive, can lie and lie and lie to keep people on edge waiting for something good to happen for them. In many of their cases, it's a modeling job that might bring them fame or lots of money.

Money is one root of all evil and so is power. Whoever runs PMI has obtained both and continues to use these two vices to draw aspiring models into their world. I don't know how long they can keep up their lies but it seems like it is second nature to them considering the little girl Maya Green was signed with them but has yet to receive a single job in the past six months. Most models receive at least one job in their time of being with an agency. If they don't, they have at least been sent on castings, not just told that their pictures have been "submitted." They host no events for the models and never promote.

Also... PMI does, in a way, promise jobs to people so that they go ahead and follow through with the expensive photo shoots. I just don't know why they waited until 2 hours before the shoot to tell me it would cost nearly half a grand. I am so happy I got my money back and for this I do thank the people of PMI for having some kind of heart. On the other hand, when they are making thousands of dollars a week I am sure it is a small loss to give back for fear of more complaints coming out.

I work in promotions and earn my money by driving all around town selling products and interacting with all kinds of people. When I was younger I worked in food service and have always been involved with the business/work aspect of life. I've always believed in hard work to get what you want and I really don't believe that you can get a big break overnight. I always have trusted my gut instinct. For a week I was very stressed out. True agencies produce happy models, not angry ones who post on sites like this. And if they are angry, they don't write these terrible stories of their terrible experiences. They'll simply write, "This agency sucks" or something... not go into detail like the writers on this site have. Even the models who do not get jobs do not go about life feeling bitter when they know they've tried. People become bitter when they know they've been taken advantage of and been played a pawn in someone else's game.

I only hope that these people will try to live an honest life, get real jobs, and stop taking money that people work hard to have.

Other Fishy Things I Found Online:

Hansel Anthony writing as himself claiming he has worked for BeBe and JCrew through PMI. What mature adult writes like that? No professional uses that language on the internet, nor would anyone from a top television show make an account on June 25 to simply rebuttle the accusation because they would be fired for saying words like that. I don't know who from Project Runway would even google PMI in the first place.
http://www.reviewstalk.com/complaints-reviews/premier-models-internationa-l25841.html

This is a strange website where Hansel Anthony (Director of Talent Services) is using his actual name to represent the entire agency. There are no contact names on the site, either. No Christina Ivanski, no Steve Reynolds, no professional people with bios or expertises or contributions to the company.
http://barclayanthony.wix.com/premier

These people have Facebooks but have no professional pictures or event photos with any clients whatsoever. I have taken the liberty of leaving those links out of this post in respect to their privacy as human beings. However, I have located another Facebook page for PMI which consists of shared events hosted by OTHER businesses... not a single one is through PMI itself.
https://www.facebook.com/premiermodels.intl

All I can say is I am so happy and relieved to be out of this web and all I can offer is my experience and overall opinion for others out there who may be questioning the legitimacy of this company.

I have gotten out of numerous sticky situations by research and writing and just by reading people's habits and mannerisms. Everything about my experience was fishy. These people had no interest in me as a person. Most people who hire you want to know about you and your life. They didn't care at all. They are very disconnected.

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! Premier Models International- Update

TO ALL UNSUSPECTING MODELS AND TALENT!!! PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE END OF THIS REBUTTAL.  I STUMBLED ACROSS THIS ARTICLE BY ACCIDENT, THIS IS EXACTLY HOW "PMI" REELED ME IN AND ALL OF THE MODELS THAT SHOWED UP TO CASTING THAT DAY........ DO NOT TRUST THEM.  Agencies do not require you to pay any fees when they are representing you, however the scam agencies do.  These people do not have any real connects in the business.  Anyone can go online and find local castings for free and then charge someone else for the information.  Alan Baltes (Google searchable) has a free blog, he has all the real castings to Hollywood.  He is reputable as well.  You can submit through mail to all the free castings you want.  He's just one of the people whose service I use.  I also have an agent in Miami.  Miami Talent Casting is wonderful as well.  She didn't charge me a dime.  So far this year I did a Ne-yo video and Bud Light Lime commercial.  She's working on getting me on South Beach Tow.

Amateurs, please beware.... you are the ones crooks want because you do not know better.  I have been doing this for five years and have been scammed 3x.  I should have known better, so take it from me...... do not fully trust anyone until you can get your research done or check references.  This is a very lucrative business and crooks know it.

If anyone is asking if PMI is legit (because you were smart and googled)...... NO THEY ARE NOT!!!!! Yes they have a Facebook page but any idiot can make a Facebook page and website. As a matter of a fact their Facebook is not fully up and running either, just some pictures of models from Miami Fashion Week which happened way back in March and some headshots of models their photographers took, whose images they do not mind ruining as well.  I'm sure the photographers do not know they are working for scam artists.

So everyone, study your craft, read articles, use the internet to do research and check references and i

Be safe everyone and good luck :)

You are a joke! "Premier Models International"

First of all, NO ONE IS BITTER LOL, I am warning other victims. 2ND OF ALL I HAD AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE IN THIS WEEK THAT CONTACTED ME ABOUT YOUR COMPANY (I don't know them, and I don't know how they got my info) They both feel the are being scammed, I have the emails and text messages, that's the only reason why I wrote the scam alert because it got me to thinking. One model even said she got her money back she said for whatever fee you charged her. She said she threaten to sue you guys. No one is bitter. You are sadly mistaken, whoever the hell you are that's writing this rebuttal. I am aware of my measurements, I'm a beautiful voluptous black woman. And you guys saw that yet you still signed me and took my money. If that was an issue, why waste my time, money and your reputation you stupid a*****e. You guys got a rinky dink set up and I won't be surprised if you won't last a year in this city. As hard as it is in Miami to find a decent gig in Miami, you people come down here, get everyone all excited only to scam us. I don't give two flying f**ks if you don't ever send me on a job. I've gotten more jobs on my own since I signed with you in March, than with you guys. Your website have been down for months and you never send casting to my email, only when I write "Christina" and complain. You guys don't even have a friggin mailing list. EVERYONE HAS A MAILING LIST, HOW DUMB ARE YOU??? I will just chalk this up to experience and keep pushing on. Best of luck, scum buckets and if you have any questions I'm sure you have all of my information. Contact me please so I can curse you out face to face. By the way, I filed a complaint under the Better Business Bureau as well.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Thanks for trashing my name Latoya Hill.

AUTHOR: Star - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 28, 2012

This person was never promised any job by me or anyone in the company, she did not get the job.  We did submit her photos and if you go to our Premier Models international facebook page you will see that there were several models that did not make the final cut for Miami Int'l Fashion week, models that blamed no one.  It's pretty sad that because Latoya Hill got rejected she would try to trash my name as well as my companies name.  As far as not being sent to castings, her measurements is not what our clients are looking for at this time, I told her to loose some pounds, tone up, this may help.  We do not guarantee Work,. we can't guarantee a model or performers success.  We want our models to succeed, because we make a percentage from the work that we sign them to.  She also mentioned Betty G, and her granddaughter that is signed with Premier, these are wonderful people that do not mind traveling to a casting, they are not even from Miami, but they went to the casting that we provided regardless.

Latoya we currently do not have anyone in the Miami area that is willng to hire you, not because of your looks, but largely because of your measurements. However there are several promotional jobs in Orlando Fl that we may be able to place you on, again there are no guarantees, even with your new photos.  I suggested a photographer to you by the way, you did not have to use her, most of our models have their own portfolios put together, and if they don't we recommend someone, but they pay the phographer not us.  Renee took her time and created a look for you, but you still trashed her name regardless.  I'm really not sure what you are so bitter about... Call me if you have an issue..
